Update, I re-downloaded it and it works fine now.

Nothing really earth-shattering in the video, but you do get to see the poison effect and one of the traps. Kinda neat. It's mostly boring running around killing stuff in the first mission with commentary.

I agree the video is rather boring compared with a cinematic or trailer. Nevertheless it has nice features, and given the eagerness of the guild wars community everything is welcome.

I asked a friend to help me with the edition. He cut the video in two pieces and uploaded it to youtube via his account.

I hope you will be able to see this video finally. I checked the links and they work fine.

Enjoy

Thank you for putting that on youtube. I finally got to see it.

The game looks good, with the exception of the poison effect. That has got to go. IMO, it adds nothing to the game except for annoyance and distraction.

For everybody having trouble downloading: Using a download manager that allows to resume interrupted downloads is strongly recommended!

Please note that he said: You may have a maximum of 3 heroes with you in a party at a time. To me, that implies that you may have more than 3 to choose from. Like, you have a total of 6 heroes (1 for each core profession), but you can pick only 3 of them to join a party. Just guessing here.

Some comments:

The narrator has an unhealthy obsession with the Paragon, IMO.

Narrator: Oh, and by the way, did you know the Paragon will always have angelic features on their armor?

Me: Why, yes, I do, since you mentioned it about three times already!

Other than that, nice to see some of the new graphics, but this video doesn't really show off too much of anything new. I'm a little alarmed about the Poison screen, will all conditions effect the screen like that?

If so, that could get old really fast. I assumed the Poison screen effects was only for special areas, like the "Poisoned Desert". I don't think it needs to be in effect everytime you're poisoned!

(PvP too?!?)

I don't like from new damage number pops. What is wrong with curren ones? Hopefully you can still keep them if you want. Full screen poisoned effect is a bit disturbing too.

Anyone notice how that paragon hench was bugged while he was looking at it to show off the armour? Stuck in a loop running mindlessly back and forth....looks like the AI/pathfinding still needs some work...

Damage numbers look a bit cartoony, but i love that whole screen poison thing (sounded like a new condition actually...i'm sure the guy said sth about 'madness') - if that's in PvP too it would be amazing, great to think you can actually make life hard for the player at the other end of the 'net like that

Oh, damn, I meant to mention that!

I think she was being driven crazy by the narrator's Paragon obsession...

The dmg display was better before, now it just pops up like WoW

The dungeon trap wasnt all that new like he said seeing as how something like that was already in Sorrows Furnace, so unless theres a lot more traps thats not new. :/

The paragon armor he kept showing off at selection we already saw in screenshots

The poison thing was kinda cool if they have one for other conditions too, and maybe make it a graphic option, to togglt on and off.

I was already excited about the game, that preview did not help much.

I used Mozilla, no problem , downloaded at ~500kb/sec.
That movie is a let down like you all said nothing really impreseve, poison doesnt like nice, but i dont expect it to go away ( think UI, death),like someone said the camera didnt allow us to see the char creation screen that well, but im afraid we will not be able to create light colored paragons/dervishers.

I actualy like the poison effect. Its more than just a green coat over the screen. There are actualy blur effects. It may be a distraction, but thats really what poison should be to begin with. This adds to the experience.

The damage text is cooler I suppose, but it really doesnt do anything.

If you dont want the poison effect then turn off post processing effects. That would probably remove it, along with the greying out effect when you die. But that would also remove stuff you want.
