Exactly, I mean they didn't add Daggers to Prophecies. (However, Spawnning and Communning Staves do drop in the Tomb of the Prim. Kings.) (Raven Staves)

There will not be any aditional content for Sins or Rts in Nightfall (As far as items go) Why? or how do I know? each Guild Wars Chapter is Self Standing, Why would there be content drop for other classes? It's Useless to them.
|
KoalaMeatPie please add the words In My Opinion with the above statement. People read so many other people stating their opinion as fact, they fail to realize that they might be wrong and continue to post non truths based on someone's speculation.
Speculation is not fact.
IMO It would be great if some of the monsters in Elona did use SIN skills and droped some SIN daggers. Monsters such as the dreaded Boarilla. GRRR!
Truth is we won't know how things will be done until the game is realeased. However its always nice to speculate as long as you say its your opinion.

I have a feeling you have high expectations for new Rt/A content in NF, GloryFox. You know that they have two development teams working on seperate chapters right? I highly doubt they will have any Rt/A monsters, weapons and armor for them in Elona. Since the Ritualist and Assassin class are unique to Cantha. It's common sense. We won't even make a primary Rt/A in Elona. The only thing Rt/A's will get when NF is release are new skills (which might be a small amount), whether it will be a live update for the Factions campaign or within the Nightfall campaign.

I like to think I have practical opinions since I understand Marketing.
Marketing wise it makes sense to have some content for the SIN and RIT although I fully agree with you on the NOT making SIN's and RITs in Elona. In this way people will want to purchase Factions to unlock those classes so they can use SIN and RIT content found in Elona, if any.

Frankly; it seems like the only purpose of this thread was someone felt like arguing. Just wait and see what content there is.

Nightfall will have the same distribution as Factions. 25 new skills for the Core professions, 75 for the Dervish, 75 for the Paragon.

If there'll be new skills for all previous chapter professions on every new chapter, then the amount of skills and the amount of time to develop them would increase a lot. Say the number of new skills for the 7th chapter that'd be what? 16 x 25 + 75 x 2? Sounds impractical to me.
edit: This point has already been made, meh I gotta remember to read every page before posting.

I just LOOOOOOOOOVE how you quote your sources.
There won't be any skills... it's been proven and counted by multiple people in here... unless ANet actually surprised us... but I don't want to keep my hopes up, and neither should you... I'd hate to find myself in near empty districts in Elona because people angrily quit GW, because they didn't add any new sin/rit skills.

There will be new skills for the Ritualist and Assassin when NF is release, it has been stated in PCGamer that includes the exclusive minipet.

All I’ve seen is speculation about Assassin and Ritualist skills in Nightfall. Before the release of Factions it was already a known fact that no content for the Assassin and Ritualist skills, armor, and weapons would be added to Tyria. This will also apply to the Dervish and Paragon classes no content will added to Cantha nor Tyria for them.
Sorry that whole argument about there not being content for Assassins and Ritulists in Prophecies really isn’t factual proof that skills won’t be added to new chapters, since when you think about progression of the story line taking the Assassin and Ritualist back to Tyria isn’t progressive of where they come in at.
Up until now it’s all been speculation about the Assassin and Ritualist skills being in Nightfall.
But if you want proof of my source

Thank you for replying with a completely pointless... 'reply'...
Ok then, so i was wrong... so what?
I suggest you actually make yourself useful to the forums, or at least do a /cheer thingy instead of laughing at people who don't keep track of everything the devs or magazines (I'm Belgian, so odds of getting a US mag are rather slim... and i'm hardly on when Gaile is) say...
Indeed, i'm not a good example here myself by bashing you, but... well... you get the point (i hope)... I'm not looking for trouble, nor do I get kicks from giving critique... but it sure does beat what you're doing :x)
[...and now back on-topic]
Oh, and thank you, Sai of Winter and Zehnchu, for telling us this, perhaps you could start a new thread, with that info in the starting post, so we can all just stop discussing about new skills for the Canthan chars (People will already have forgotten the news by the time this thread hits the next page)

I wonder how much damage your "facts" has done. I wonder how many people deleted their SIN or RIT because of you and posters like you; maybe next time you will show some courteous restraint next time you post.

Well now with the new update, it seems that offensive assassins and rits are a viable possibility in nightfall now. Unfortunately, defensive rit lords have been nerfed pretty bad too..... oh well no more invinci-parties.
