The -1 energy mod
Just recently I have noticed a couple of weopons and offhands with minus energy or health mods without being zelous or vampiric. I have only seen two of these so far. One was an offhand item that still only had +12 nrg but with a -1 energy mod. The other was a platinum bow that dropped for me "Barbed Platinum Longbow Of Enchanting Dmg +15% Health Regeneration -1 Bleed 33% Enchant 19%" Have these mods only recently been added cause i have only just started seeing them over the last week.?
The offhand focus was a max gold from raisu palace +5 armour. I am well aware of the +12 energy Plus a +15 -1 energy mod off hand but I have just never seen a max gold off hand with a -1 energy only giving +12 total.
I would post a pic but i sold it cause i thought.. OMG thats a crap item. It was only after getting the bow that I thought i would trawl the community for answers.

If the dmg+15% is on all the time, then that'd be an interesting mod to see.

+15 energy, energy regen -1? Collectors have those.

Standard, but they go up to +15en -1 regen.

That's one of the more uncommon native mod drawbacks to counter the +15% always. Others are -1en regen, -10 armour while attacking, -5en, and others I'm probably forgetting.

I'm not sure why anyone would want a weapon with a -1 health or energy regen, unless it was a -1 energy regen on a warrior weapon to be used with an adrenaline build.

I have No idea Where this was picked up, I cn't find it at any collector or crafter, but with over 100 of them, I'm not surprised.

you can also get -energy or -hp mods on focii with +armor always... for instance... you could get a prot icon thats "e+12(req 9 prot), armor+5, energy -5", OR one thats like "e+12(req 9 prot), armor+5, health -20"

Actually - health weapons are highly sought after by high end PvP players because of a bug in PvP maps where you can get stuck in the terrain. It happens in Random Arenas, Heroes Ascent and GvG.
If you get stuck in GvG, if the other team doesnt kill you, the only way you can get out is to kill yourself with one of those weapons by letting it drain your health, then res at the shrine. Any weapon with a vamp mod works but slower.
Until Anet fixes this bug, those weapons will be worth something to PvP players, just try selling them in PvP areas. To Anet's credit though, I havent seen as many stuck players as in the past.

Yep, Ive sold a number of Vampiric 15%/-1hp weapons.
And I have a Zealous Axe of Fortitude 15%/-1en which I occassionally use in farming (or incase I need to lock my energy, like tanking against the Mesmers in the Deep).

The weopons and offhands I refer to have neither vampiric or zelous mods. Majoho i stuck on a vampiric string for fun and what do ya know. Health regen minus 2 FTL

I have and sometimes use my Vampiric Shadow Bow with +15% and -2 health regen now. With watchful spirit it's basically -1 energy regen and I get vampiric.

Im pretty sure they did have 15% with no negetive side effects in the early days

The +15% always with -1 health/energy regen weapons have been around quite a while, it's just another mod that can go with +15% always, like -10 armor or -5 energy.
The +15 energy/-1 energy regen focii have been around even longer, since the game's release.

Actually, theyve both been around since release. It was actually a bug with them that allowed people to create 15% unconditional no drawback weapons.
