In another video it was explained how conditions will change the screen look. Like the diseased has the flies and the screen turns green. The thread with the video is somewhere in this forum.

Yeah, man, looks incredible and it sounds as though it's going to change the game a fair bit too. Exciting!

im sorry to troll like this, but I was going off the original review on that mission the guysngals at gwfc got to play. the guy said it was a monster hex, and even in the video we cant 'see' the icon for his condition as the camera man for some reason decides to give us a close up of the pixels.
im not claiming to know what im talking about, but this is the extent of any information ive seen on it. based upon the it could still be just a monster skill like the guy from WOLF said.
and, despite peoples mixed reactions on it- i wouldnt mind the effects being implemented throughout the entire game (all chapters)
if its nightfall-only, its a monster skill- if we see these effects in chp2 and 1, then of course it must be a universal 'condition' upgrade. as we can see with this face fiasco, they are definately making universal changes to the game.

I haven't looked into this deeply around the site yet, still looking at all the links (and drooling) but did anyone notice this little tidbit:
first off... found here: http://wolfguard.wolfgaming.net/gc2006/
Quote:
"nother quite obvious fact was the look of the emerging damage numbers, heal numbers and energy gain and loss numbers: in contrary to the old, simply moving upwards style they now pop up, squiqqle around, move a little upwards and then vanish very fast again. Warning, personal opinion ahead, but we do not like them. hexe was instantly reminded of the old "Batman and Robin" series with that "BOOM" and "SMACK" painted over the movie. This "pop, squiqqle, fly" behaviour is just too "hyper Japanese comic style" for us. Well, we have to see, maybe we are just too accustomed to the way they are now."
|
I rather am fond of the current style, I hope they didn't follow through with this little addition. But granted I haven't given it a shot.. i'm just really accustomed and biased towards how the numbers are currently.
