Oh, for those of you wondering what "the myth" part means, I think it's any one of these possible conspiracies:

1. The Myth behind Gaile Gray is that she doesn't really exist, she's just a highly advanced AI designed by Anet that far exceeds that of Alesia.

2. She is the collaboration of all the devs, any one of them talking as her or Alex whenever they're feeling 'chatty'.

3. She actually is Alex Weekes in disguise (this is still possible!

)

4. All her messages/posts/in-game chats are just random gibberish binary code that just so happens to create coherent words and sentences that just so happen to relate to the discussion.

5. She is actually the Goddess Lyssa performing pointless illusions for our enjoyment.

6. Gaile Gray is actually a guild name, and we've been talking to average 'know-nothing' players this whole time. I feel cheated! Get a real dev in here!

7. Gaile Gray is PR, not CR. (HUGE misconception! I smell conspiracy!)

8. She's actually an ordained minister, and recieves tax breaks because she's declared Guild Wars as a religion. (this, too is still possible!)

9. She's the central hive mind of the insect-like race that is the Anet devs. (see #2)

10. Gaile's a desperate supermodel and is actively seeking any and every young male that plays Guild Wars and has amassed countless 1,000's of hours of gameplay, millions of plat with FoW armor on all 36 of their characters, to actively date - with hopes to get to *gasp* 2nd base with! (huge misconception, yet again! She's actually not that desparate

ANOTHER office with windows!? I've yet to have an office in Seattle with windows at all...

i don't think you have much to worry about, how many actually look like their female rangers? 75% are automatically eliminated due to them being guys.

if she is just a community relations manager y does everyone get so fussed up about her. like making myth's and stuff its pointless. i mean id understand if she created guild wars. but y would u guys have to get all fussed up about her. it doesnt seem like shes that important in the guild wars foundation. and people i dont think she really wanted her picture put online for public viewing. i definitly wouldnt either (not that im ugly or anything or am i calling gaile ugly) its just its personal buisness.

She's actually a very integral part of the guild wars community as a liason for players to communicate, as directly as possible, thier ideas on the game. I honestly don't think anet would be even talking about a 3rd chapter without her. She makes the seperation between player and author become much more like a community then just any ole random lifeless gaming world. Check out the dev area and find threads where she visits in-game to discuss concerns with players about what's going on with the game. I would say she has a very sizable influence on what guild wars becomes, good or bad.

... may your office move be better than my place of work's office moves.

(Bright side: MS pays people to move us around so we don't have to worry about doing it, and they give us a day off for it. Down side? Half the time they mangle one of our machines in the process.
