Can you show the link to the guildwiki page pls?

There's an axe grip of fortitude and there's an axe grip of charslaying. So what you say in your first post (fortitude axe of charslaying) is NOT possible. Sometimes it's hard to admit a mistake, don't worry life goes on.

I used to farm Giants in the desert (Arid Sea, if I remmeber correctly) which frequently dropped Giant Slayers Hammers. That always confused me.

I reread it and I'm still confused. It says the species Hilts are upgrades but I've never been able of get any Staff Wraps or Staff Heads for species. Today I got a Shortbow of Tenguslaying and salvaged it with a Superior Salvage kit to see if I would get an upgrade component. I got 14 Planks of Wood. *lol* Maybe I'm just unlucky.

Here's the page: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Weapon_upgrade
I looked at the suffix upgrades but found no species upgrades listed.

Ok, I can see now why you're confused. Staves can have for example a prefix +30hp and a suffix +30 hp, but this doesn't work for weapons like an axe. Also staves have no species mods. They have other kind of suffix mods like for example 'blood magic +1 20%'.

Axes (swords, hammers, bows) on the other hand don't have a prefix mod +30 hp, but they do have species suffix mods and a +30hp suffix mod.

I hope this makes things a bit more clear for you.

Mostly correct Gun Pierson. However, staves DO come in species slaying mods, but are very rare and worthless.
I once sold Savio a staff wrapping of undeadslaying 12% for 500g

Ive never actually seen it, but Id think a "Giant Slayers Hammer of Dwarfslaying" would be pretty ironic.
Which is it? Giants or Dwarves? Giant Dwarves (normal human sized)?
