Are you talking about unique bonuses?
If so, I'm totally against it.
Looks are one thing, I'm all for unique and special looks.
But everyone should have fairly easy accessibility to the same armor bonuses.

You can make same arguemnt for every damn feature people come up with. "if you don;t like it just don't use it".
There is a thing called reality, and in that reality Anet has limited amount of working hours to use on features each month. Which is exactly why they don't make gazillion new armors. Instead of working on 30k 60k and 100k sets(which is ton of work btw) they chould like make a new god's realm like fow or uw, which would offer REAL replayability. Instead you call putting in new expensive armor, which will make tards with too much spare time farm same monsters over and over with same gimmicked build, replayability.

Same here.
/Not Sure
The Idea of Elite armor seems sound, but the work and costs needs to be more thought out.
I know that people will and have argued FoW armor as the "Elite Armor". But we are in the third Chapter, there should be more than one set.

I wanna trade more. I wanna sell and buy more stuff. It would be fine by me, if they added tons and tons and tons and tons and tons of uniqe and uniqe materials. Very very rare loot.
Perhaps it could work like this...
you go up to Bjorke Benjamin Wurtzswitz(let's call him that) - The best Armor crafter in all of Elonia.
Depending on what materials you bring for him, the stats, effects and bonus mods will vary. This means that making your armor will be much more personal.
Let's say you want to make a really awesome uniqe looking helmet.
Needed;
-10,000 Ectos
- 200,000 wood
- 30 Rubys
- 100 something else
- 500 something else
- 10 different uniqe parts that are scattered all over the world.
so you want skill to interfere to? then make pvp loot too - when you kill someone in pvp, or win in HoH or beat the underworld - make it so you can loot very hard stuff and other players, uniqe materials, and certain parts.
lets expand the crafting in a massive way... people always complain that GW is boring because of so little loot, and I agree.
Looting an enemy should give you tons of stuff. 4 items at least.
it would mean massive need for more storage upgrades... great opputunity here for more gold sink.
but I also think that materials should be able to be used for other things.
|
Do not turn GW into a "MMGGF" (Massive Multiplayer Grind Game Feast),
if you are so desperate for something to do, try further education, socialise in real world, take up a sport, get a kid, or designe your own game, you sure have enough ideas for it.

from what I see, the response is that it will increase ebay buying, decrease player morale, inflate the economy, etc.
these things are all a little more important than what your little character looks like, or how little you have to do besides get even more expensive armor.
You guys need to get over this, and just deal with the fact that it AINT GONNA HAPPEN

10 thousand ectos. you need to take some medication.
I have the 30 rubies already, they are cheap as hell.
-Im guessing you want your little armor crafter right in the middle of Ascalon City too, eh?
Go work on getting FoW armor if you want something crazy to undertake, my guess is you havent even played FoW or UW at all.

wow you have some imagination
this idea would turn the casual gamers red with rage..omg they dont have time to farm!!
too much grind in that idea sorry...plus the poor will only continue to whine even further
BTW nobody has 10,000 ecto...i had 3,000 at one point and that was considered alot, most invest in weapons ect as ecto price fluctuates too much

I think Quest Armor would be cooler. And, it'd have to be HARD to get. Hence, No Noob FoW like people.

I would like there to be more types of armor. I see nothing wrong with having a range of armor that costs 30k - just having different looks.
Have is available from a new god's realm but profession specific, like the two armor crafters in The Divine Path for Assassins and Ritualists.
And redo FoW armor so that it's for Warriors only, once each profession has it's deity represented in their specific realm.

Fow is expensive cause of the materials so thats goos enough, they could just make more styles of of armor likw that in other new areas (knelling to a different god)
We dont need more expensive armor prices are fine as it is. * Remember a while back Anet said that the majority of the people playing them game have a bout 20k at most times, so price does not need to increase.
All we need is more variety, but those things take time, I doubt they have that many people working on that area. I like the amount of variety so far somewhat. Maybe mix up your armor seeing as how they have the same stats. That will you'll have a chance of looking different.

Oh man, those were the days. I remember too well!
I agree with Retribution X - quest/mission armor. Sure, I would love to be rewarded with a new unique pair of shoes/boots or a fancy hate. Screw the weapon drop! I want armor rewards now!
Also....

I am game for spending my moula on expensive armor. Why the heck not? If you have everything you want already, and the money is sitting in the bank rotting, than release new expensive armor. Atleast it gives the "majority" of us "oldies" to grind away at.
Another idea - maybe have more customization with armor. Sure, most people must love those big chested Ele's and Rt's, but I cringe every time I have to run with my toon. Smaller chest customization I am game for!!!! (waits for the flamers)

Wearing FoW armour doesn't make you a 1337 player by a long shot, just shows you either farm the crap out of the game or bought the gold for it off ebay

That is the typical uneducated reply from someone who is either new or just plain ignorant.

New skins are good, but silly prices are not.
If anything, variety could come from the online store, and probably will. Why give the ebay sellers our cash when we can give anet more for the sake of vanity?
On another note, Lawnmower's images 700kb+ really do slow things down.

Gaile has already stated PvE based items (armor, weapons) will not be sold in the store.

well i'd be down with some mursaat armour skins for casters and some jade armour skins for wars and rangers, in fact i've been hoping for that for sometime.
but paying anything over 30k for a pience of armour and materials is way too much for any player that has a life elsewere.
i'd be down for a new god relm too, Fow and UW lost their touch a long time ago.
