I don't know how the OP can justify creating these new armors, given how the large majority of people here are opposed to it. If you want to be "amazed by awesomeness", design your own stuff and send it in.

I love the idea of a high ticket armor set. You guys complaining about the grind it would take to get it, well I think it shouldn't be easily attainable. It should take you a few chapters to get it. Heck, make it where it takes 105 ecto, 105 shards, 105 amber, 105 jadeite, 105 Elonian Steel, etc. So you would have to get pieces from each chapter to get it. On top of that, make it 100k per piece.

We really need an ultimate set of armor.

And I don't think Anet would not offer it just because of botters selling gold on ebay. That is just ridiculous.

No, Not threw every chapter, not everybody has All chapters. Plus its just exageration. You can't carry more then 100k on any given character, you'd ahve to make multiple trips.

Give it time, when chapter 5 rolls around there will be alot less clones. Not to mention for alot of people, 15k is already expensive enough.

This would cause mass inflation on the prices of items being sold in districts. Most players do not have $ enough to get 15k set, much the less 60-100k range. Every one not a gold farmer or buyer would just increase the selling prices of their weapons, dye, mats, and components.

It would also increase gold buying.

I think Night Fall should come out with tons more armor. but 100k armors a bit much mabey 50k or 60k but not 100k. To think about the money and materials is way to much. the people would not even try to buy it! But i must aggree that some people will spend evry last bit of money they have just to buy it. But then even more twinks would hapen like level 10s with 100k armor! I guess trhey could make the armory guy in the middle of millions of enemys like FOW but you must go solo! Then low levels will stay away.

I personally don't like the idea.

I'm all for "More" types of armor. At all levels. Let it be a bit more spread out so there is a bit more individuality. But going past 15K doesn't really prove much other than you spend waaaaay too much time playing a game.

Sure... you've SPENT the time and saved up and got the ultra expensive armor, (( Or bought the gold on Ebay)) But it doesn't denote amazing ammounts of skill. Just amazing ammounts of wasted time.

I want uniquic armor. I don't even have a set of 15 K yet. Heck I think the most gold my char has right now is about 2 K and she's level 18. But I'm not going to spend literal weeks farming bad guys out side of the story line to get a different mesh of armor for my char. That's just silly to me anyway.

I get the stuff that provides the best armor class and stuff I can afford. Then if there's more than one I may go for looks.

Right now I"m runnin' around in a set of Gladiator armor dyed neon green. I like it. It's fun to fight in and watch as I go though the story. If it was the cheepest armor (Gold wise)) in the game, but stats same as more expensive ones.. I'm buying the cheepest.

Sure.. I"m not above splurging a bit to get the "look" I personally like.. but going past 15K on armor isn't going to make you any cooler. When it's all said and done. It's armor. Unless the 100K armor is pastys with twirling blades of nipple death... there's no point other than bragging rights.

Personally (( And yes I realize that's just me)) I don't need to spend a month for a different set of armor on my video game. It's my way to Relax. That sounds too much like WORK.

not enough variety in the game, everyone looks the same and at any given tim ein a populated town you can find at least one person who is identicle to you.

and for those who dont see the point, some of us have loads of gold we will never spend as there isnt much to spend large amounts on in gw, i could quite easily afford 100k armour as now all my gold just mounts up with nothing worth spending out on.

I mean, I can even afford normal 15k armor, and I still think hugely expensive armor would rock. I mean, talk about goals! And the more variety the merrier. besides, how does someone start an elitist culture in an online MMO just by looking better? Sounds like petty childishness to me, and good riddance to anyone who would do something like it. I think this would be both fun and rewarding, life's not fair.

it doesnt affect you. If you dont want to pursue the armor, then don't. Let people who got more money than they can spend, get something worth bragging about to their friends. its just skins, but its a goal and achivement and a reason to keep playing, and a reason to be proud of what you have accomplished in the game.

To those with money this is a good idea...aslong as it isnt unbalanced (better then droks) then there is no reason why this shouldnt exsist. Diversity is needed to keep a game alive.
