Don't suck ass?
Anyway,Try degeneration with a Paragon using Anthem of Flame(?),the skill that allows you to burn targets for 1-3 seconds when you use a attack skill while under this shout.Use it with Barbed Spear to get 2 seconds of -10 Degen(which comes out to be 40 damage,as well as the bleeding remaining on him for additional few seconds.

Hey Theus, please flame some more, will you?
What i did was pack some interrupts on Koss and take manual control over him. He was also Sword War at that time so i went for the Dragon Slash Combo for persistent DPS. And from that point on it was basically spamming Attackskill after Attackskill.
If you're a ranged fighter you could as well order your henchmen back and let Kormil (or whatever she is called, that Level 20 NPC) do the tanking. Due to her level she can take many many more hits than you can.

My secret to defeating him was a single condition - daze.
I had Melanni become D/W and take Skullcrack...gg ^^

seems like a good strategy, will the heroes use skullcrack at the appropriate time, or would it be better for me to control their skill usage?

Um.. to be honest, the easiest part of that mission for me was beating that boss. I did it with a paragon..
I focused on spear mastery. I had 9 in it and I was using the Fiery Sunspear. (Mighty Throw, Unblockable Throw, Barbed, Lightning, Watch Yourself!, Signet of Synergy, Leader's Comfort, and the Paragon Rezzing Signet)
Koss was running a standard axe warrior build; Dunkoro was using a WoH build.. hm.. what else.. Oh, I ran Empathic Removal on Melonni.
Oh, and make sure you're constantly increasing the attributes of your heroes after they level. At one point I noticed that Koss and Dunkoro each had 15+ attributes that I could use. >.>

I was a mesmer and beat him with ease, I simply drained his energy, and put Empathy/Backfire on him depending on which profession he morphed to. Also, the group near him, pull them and kill them seperately.

You can also configure Koss as a knockdown warrior to keep the boss on the floor while the rest of your party applies more beat-down He has access to all of your unlocked skills, including elites.

He's.. hard? I accidently told my heros/hench to hold a posistion for when I pulled the undead infront of him, and then ran to him. Took about a minute to realize I was the only one fighting him.

If your party is mostly melee, and the boss switches to Dervish mode too often it can be rather difficult. Otherwise he's a walk in the park.

arcticblizzard - They will NOT use interupts right now (because their A.I isnt set yet, they dont know how/when to use skills) - You have to control the interupting.

Like Rera said, hes hard to beat with low level melle chars..
I used a smite team, I took bane siggy and banish and the rest heals. The monk hero was full heal and the other 2 heros I changed to mo secondary and they had siggy of judgement, banish, bane siggy, smite and other sfuff.
He went down in around 10-15 seconds.

I don't know what skills you have tried, but at least Koss uses Distracting Blow effectively.

arcticblizzard - Yes, henchies DO know how to use interrupts QUITE well. In fact, they use it to the same mechanical precision that the Luxon Interrupter henchy did. Additionally, they use their interrupts quite often on the VERY first foe that comes within aggro range. What is fun, is have 2-3 interrupts spread accross your henchies, then right before you aggro a mob, check mark the interrupts so that as SOON as the foes come into aggro, your henchies fire off interrupts on ANY skill the foes first try to use. Former Ruling... You must not have been paying attention.
Ok, so ya the boss is quite easy, i think you just had bad luck on those runs. All i can say is what has already been suggested. Take interrupts on your heros or self, because the boss heals himself pretty well, and make sure you have some steady DPS from at least one of you. With steady DPS there is no real need for degen.
I was a Dervish with myself and heros at lvl 12, so that may have been my edge. However, my friend also kill the boss in under 30 seconds as lvl 7, with lvl 7 heros. So try again! Take interrupts, take moderate dmg skills for constant DPS, and you should do fine. Good Luck!
Cheers!

i packed d.blow and savage slash on koss, and he was a stone-cold interrupting machine... i cannot even count how many enemy monk orisons he owned.
ironically, i found that acolyte jin, the ranger hero, was a less effective interrupter with rtw, dist, and savage, than koss is with his melee interrupts.

Jin: R/Me, RTW, distracting, savage, punishing, leech sig, power drain, sig disruption, rez sig
yeah that about does it, koss with distracting blow is priceless, also put leech sig and power drain on monk.
Beyond that, get the hell away from him if he goes dervish and hes easy.

He only got to his third form before I wasted him. And this was with him in each form for a few seconds.. Harder than the average boss, sorta, but no Lich.
Or maybe I'm talknig about a different profession changing boss.

Let's see...
I went MM necro (which I didn't know it was a bad idea until we reached the skeletons.... yeah.), so I was pretty useless. My wife was a nuker ele, damn effective. She had the monk 'what's-his-name', and I had Melonni. The monk carried one mesmer interrupt, and he used it pretty decently. I made Melonni a Restoration Rit with Recouperation (bad idea, eats all her energy), and her secret weapons: Vengful Weapon and Vengeful was Khanei.
As long as I placed the flag ahead, everything seemed to attack her, and when they did, Vengful spam while the rest of us nuked (me with Deathly Swarm) from afar. Worked amazingly well. Melonni never dropped below 80% health the entire time and tanked everything. I didn't plan any of that, it just kinda worked out.
