I like the look of the lion but i possibly wouldnt use it - I'm not a cat person at all. I ditched the Stalker as soon as i could and got a Wolf. he's huge now... taller than my character! I dont think I'd change him... but I'm looking forwards to making some new characters with new pets

after seeing gw.com ....i got a bad feeling the new pets will be the rat and lion. Thats gonna have to be a boar sized rat though. If these end up being the new pets..I think that will probably be my only disapointment with Nightfall. I really was hoping for a nile croc

as mentioned above....the hippo and flamingo are the confirmed nightfall pets. Eh..i will stick with my dune lizard from propheses

Don't discount hippos. The regular-sized ones kill more people in Africa than crocodiles do, iirc...

As for the flamingos, let's hope Anet doesn't suddenly turn them blue or something

(though come to think of it, a blue flamingo would be pretty cool)

My well-travelled Tyrian Ranger will stick with her Dune Lizard...

...but I'm thinking of making a bright orange Dervish/Ranger with a pet pink Flamingo! Living in Florida, the combination just seems *so* right.

The new hippo and flamingo have to be the stupidest pets ever made in gw. They seriously need to add better looking pets like a modified rhino (not the ones from the screenshots) and some sort of fox/jackel.

well hippo had to be there,it being the biggest man killer and all.

and lets face it if you were a nf enemy you know that big pink bird running at you would have you shi...........ok maybe more like lyfao.

just one thing that could take the place of my hippo,and that would be a giant croc/gator(my RL dream pet).but then again if croc goes in,think how many would have very like names-SE ftw.

The hippo's cool. The flamingo seems a little stupid to me. It'd be funny, but it just doesn't seem to make much sense as a combat pet.

My vote's for monkeys. And I like that rat. The lion looks... okay. I agree with some of the previous posters that it looks a bit too much like a reskinned stalker.

If I could have anything, though, it'd be a hyena.

forgot to mention i would also love to see the silverback and the general(answers on a post card...).or the clouded leopord(sp,its late)best suit an a/r due to it being one of the most elusive cats.

I charmed a flamingo during the preview event and evolved it to a Hearty Flamingo. Looks like the pets in Nightfall grow as they level:

I made my character as tall as possible and the flamingo was about the same height as my char when I charmed it. In this image, the flamingo is level 16.
I wonder if the pygmy hippo will grow to a regular-sized hippo.

during the preview. My ranger though will need a lion <3 cats.
