Another Double Reward Weekend 26 September 2006
This coming weekend, from Noon PDT on Friday, September 29 through 11:59 p.m. PDT on Sunday, October 1, you will receive double experience from capturing elite skills. Instead of gaining 250 times your level in XP, you will receive 500 times your level. Join Guild Wars this weekend and enjoy the bonus XP.

Quite a bit of XP but completely useless, unless maybe you're a Survivor. Oh well only a few more "double your <whatever>!" weekends to go before Nightfall

Not entirely useless! More xp means more skill points. More skill points mean more cap sigs. More cap sigs mean more caps, which give more xp! Wooo! It's a sweet, sweet cycle.

Quite useless form me, i already capped the 180 elites months ago when factions began, so i cannot cap anythig else until nightfall. And i have no interest in doing that again with other character. Ill seek wally instead maybe he has an elite too .. :P

I'm still looking for a few caps, but really.......these endless 'special' weekends are getting a little worrisome. Does Anet think we won't want to play unless they keep giving us treats?

I'll care about this event only if they give me not only bonus xp on skills I've captured, but retroactive xp on the 90 elites I capped before Factions was out.

Dangit this is about 3 weeks to late, lol, just got first elite title
on Assassin, don't want to many more of the skills left, waiting
for Nightfall to start capping again, if I read this right you only
get double XP from the cap itself, so you won't be "saving up"
skill points you will using one and getting one back at almost
the same rate.

Excellent idea for a weekend! I have several uncapped elites on each of my characters - time to dust them off and go get 'em while there's a boon for doing so.

For everyone who's going to take advantage of this event, Good luck and have fun!
For everyone who'se "been there, done that" (like me), enjoy not being rushed to get as much done as possible before the event's over.

*yawn*
The only one of my characters that needs skill points already has all elites. And the skillpoints are needed for capping nightfall elites... :/
At least this isn't as useless as double scrolls. Player excitement about weekend events has increased by 4.9% from double scroll drop event's 0.1%. Keep trying, anet.

I'd rather see a double fame weekend again. It got me playing HA for the first time which is something I managed to avaoid for over a year. But I can understand why some people would like this.

Ok, one of these threads was already closed due to negativity. ANet is GIVING us something, who cares if you don't need it, it's not like it's causing you any problems. If you don't like it, keep it to yourself.

I don't think many people are being that negative. And if people don't say what they think, how will Anet know what the community wants? I'm not an advocate of bitching and whining, but telling people not say say anything unless it's positive is kind of like censorship. :/
