Not to mention I've been relatively lag-free for the 8 months I've been playing, then I suddenly experience severe lag issues at around the same time everyone else does?

One of three things:
a) Coincidence
b) My PC is a hypochondriac
c) Anet is experiencing lag issues on their end

The people that are not having the problem, that tell us to just suck it up and wait...I bet they wouldn't be saying that if THEY were having the same problem. My bet says that they would be right here, "bitching" right alongside us.

But anyways...

Just for the sheer hell of it, I did a full system cleanup today...scanned for viruses, adware. Defragged. Reset my modem. Then reinstalled GW. No help whatsoever.

I then contacted my ISP (Verizon) and was told just what I figured. No problems detected.

The problem is not on my end. Whether it is on Anet's end, or somehwere in between...who knows. All I know is that I hope it's fixed soon...

Just adding my name to the long list of people with lag. Been happening since the preview event. At first I assumed it was just the volume of traffic on ANets side with everyone downloading the update, but I was still getting lag yesterday. Hopefully it'll clear up soon.

I've gotten about 15 error se7ens today , pretty annoying considering I was trying to farm uw which = -15k --;;. It's not my computer and my isp is fine , really I wish anet would work on something towards a solution .

Seriously, the lag is VER bad tonight. What is going on!!! Online games arent suppose to lag at all let alone so bad that they cant be used.

And yet again, ANet behave like ostriches, sticking their heads in the sand and hoping we'll go away.
Up until about 8 weeks ago (4 weeks ago the lag got REALLY bad), I had had very little if any lag at all whilst playing GW, and I've been playing since the WPE, first on US servers, then on EU servers.
Now I very rarely completely disconnect and get error 007, but get rubberbanded a lot, but last night I got disconnected from the friends server and then 007ed.
And what happens when I get network issues with a game?
I stop playing it, and I bitch to my friends about how shitty the connection issues are with GW at the moment.
And as most of my friends are gamers, I'm guessing that this puts a lot of them off of buying the game, and I'm guessing a lot of them tell THEIR friends not to bother with GW.

Pull it together ANet, you're going to start losing custom VERY quickly.

Currently still getting error 7's , it's not very funny anymore i've lost so much money tonight so i'm calling it a night from ToA . I can't even hang out in a town now for 30 minutes without having a very long stall or just getting another error.

im from south africa, on a regular day i get next to no lag and i can play without problems, maybe some rubberbanding but its never too bad. the only time i get err7 is due to our lovely ISP: Telkom.

P4 2.6ghz
geforce 6600gt 128mb
1.5gig ram
640kbps dsl connection

on saturday a friend of mine couldnt gvg properly and got about 5 err7s within 1 hour and i wasnt lagging at all. the next day i was getting THE WORST GORED ENGINE LAG EEVER. severe rubberbanding, REGULAR 10s delays oh and err7 galore. i found out that the delays happened at least twice in a minute and i had no idea what was goin on around me everything was teleporting around. I cant even farm properly because when i aggro stuff they stop in their tracks and then rubberband me to my death. horrible, i thought it was the weekends problem so it would end soon - WRONG!!1!1

the next day it was just as bad, and the next and today. i minimized gw to read this post and when i went back there was error 007 waiting to meet me.
this situation is especially shit because i took leave this week and i get greeted with the absolute worst lag ever. its not my side cos CS Source and a few other games work perfectly. i ran anti spyware, defragged and ran -image on gw to decompress the files and the lag remains. they BETTER fix this lag sometime soon or, as mentioned before, they will lose most of their customers. my goal of bein a millionaire before nightfall might not come true due to my week off from work being so laggy. anet has to stop with all these utterly useless events. the first few were ok but now they're going overboard. they are even planning one for this weekend. its causing too many downloads and GOREDENGINEing up the game for everyone else.

I have also been expriencing tremendous lag since just before the Nightfall preview.

The lag is deffinately not on my side and started happening around the same time as the new skill icon/hourglass update.

Please get this fixed

Well let me add my name to this list. Up until yesterday I could count on one hand the amount of 007's I have had since starting GW. Since then I have had more then 5 times the amount. Yes we have run every diagnostic out there and done everything else everyone has suggested. Its not *our* end. It is definitely a GW Server side issue.

At this point GW is unplayable for me. I usually last 3-4 minutes before getting err 007. This usually entails a lag spike where I sit for a couple minutes not being able to move and then I either snap out of it or 007. I have also had 058 and numerous other errors.

I just hope they figure out what the heck is going on soon! I need my fix!

~Edit, past 007's where our internet providers fault. We have DSL and Cable and I get the same issues on both providers.

Just to add my two cents but since the Nightfall preview, I have had an insane amount of lag. I mean, not just annoyance level but at levels where I can't move for like minutes at a time.

Add me and my hubbie to the list too. We've been playing fine until the update after the Nightfall weekend. Now we lag and 007 every 10 minutes or so

We are in Ireland, if I read this thread correctly, other people with the same complaint are from other parts of the world. So I can't see how the problem lies on our side... I hope Anet will fix it soon.

I couldn't do anything with me lagging every 5seconds last night and the same thing this morning. They kept giving me the 007 message but my connection is fine. I even took off my cable connection from my router and plug it directly to my computer and still the same. I wouldn't really mind but 2 days of unbearable lag without any news about it is just ridiculous.

Just came from WoW and yes their servers isn't perfect either but atleast they give you updates not just on events but the current technical problem they are having and not just blame it on my ISP.

One question, is there an official GW forum?

My game froze every 5min. last night lag lasted anywhere frow 2-10min. took an hour to go from aurguy rock to destiny gorge I got no 007 err but game is unplayable right now.I'm on the US east coast.

Maybe its because of the file system they use for gw. Who knows whats hidden in there.
