if your subclass is /mo, take jamei gaze/heal other and put some points in healing prayers (8 or 10), bring all henchies, specially the healer and ritualist, might not want to use the sin one, go to international district, enter, pray there is no human player, if you talk and no one replies, then you are good to go.
henchies at the other side, use heal other/jamei gaze when needed, i beat vizunah with all the classes (except ritualist) and they all were XX/Mo with heal other/jamei gaze.

Eventually you will get it done. I advise you to try when it is night time 5-6PM PST, as there's more adults that came home from work.

QFT, been there done that. Its an annoying factor of the game mechanic that shoudl really be addressed. Maybe make it so people below a certain level can't get in there? After all, I thought THAT^^ was the whole idea behind locked gates in the first place.
@OP: sorry you've had trouble. Sadly, you're having trouble in the only mission where you can't guarantee a good team that does what you need it to. It was cool at the start, but once people started traveling on, the problems with such a mission type became easily appearant.
With hope, there won't be such in Nightfall.
Tactics: there is an easy way to beat this mission with only one team from the Tyrian side. IM a healer you trust and ask them about this; I'm sure they've gottne this cll a few times. Since you've been out of the loop, I know this can be hard for you but trust me; its the best way I've found to keep Togo up.
At the start of the game, your team will agro the first Am Fah group. As soon as they turn red, your monk should make a run for Togo (Mo/A BLight monk is preffered, making easy getaways from the other Am Fah that drop). Once he's there he can act as a supplort healer for the henchmen as everything in Cantha decides to drop on their heads. Primary focus is Togo and the healer henchies, and they will be on call to watch the other team for the rest of the game. remember, if both henchmen die, there is no hard rez to get the Canthans back up. No hard rez (and their liberal use a rez sigs) means that if they wipe, they won't get back up. Then its an 10 man mission instead of 18.
With Mhenlo supporting the Tyrians, one monk is more than enough for your backline as you make your way to Togo.
the third mission (where you seem to have trouble) can be quite brutal. This is why MMs are excellent in Cantha, however; Affliced make exploitable corpses. With every death you take, the Mm grows stronger. use this to your advantage and have them solo hold one of the three entrances for the Afflicted once you're surrounded. it makes an easy game of it to have one area shut down by a single player (and backup heal support). If MMs aren't available, trust to ward eles to greatly reduce damage in this confined fight.
You being a mesmer, spam Domination Hexes to be everyone's best friend. The Afflicted are easily cut down by Backfire, and Empathy does double damage to Frenzied Warriors.I recommend less shutdown/more kill stuff playstyle for castors having trouble here. Shutting down one critter is nice. But keep in mind, you've got a WHOLE LOT MORE Afflicted to deal with besides. Spread your damage out to keep them managable; the monks suck and the rits aren't good when forced out of single target healing.
I hope some of this helps you win through. Viz is a tough one to hench; more often than not its a crapshoot whether the Togo team survives till you get there (another factor needing to be addressed).
EDIT: ignore the people who spam "I've henched this one; you must suck lmao!" They keep forgetting to mention how many times they wiped along the way.

Ok just a little sompthing for everyone saying "go play with henchmen":
Wouldnt that take the "Massive Multiplayer" out of the "Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game"?
Thats another problem,i realy like the ability to do those missions with living players, but the way this is going the players dont act like there alive..at least the henchmen make some comments like suggesting a swim in the jade sea.
The problem is though if its no longer fun to play with other players theres no use in Guild Wars,if one would judge this game like it was a single player RPG it would get a VERY low score.
So basicly, whats the point in playing Guild Wars on youre own?

To get fancy looking armor and/or fancy looking titles and/or fancing looking weapons & armor to show off to all the other people after you have beaten and/or been run through every part of the game on your own as quickly as possible.
At least, that seems to be the most common philosophy among players.

to those who advise using henchmen, try using henchmen these days. because since the nf wpe the caster henchies will now run into melee range of the target mobs and tank!
it's just one of the many "oversights" of anet lately, like the skill hourglasses and the game freezing when closing with [X] ....
and don' ask them to fix it now, because theyre "too busy developing nightfall ...."

I remember completing the mission during the head start event, with only 8 men (no minion master in the team o.O)
We were all wondering if the rest of the game would be this hard as well...
Anyways, i've done it with an assassin at level 14, with 2 human players on the other side... you just need to stay away from the other team in the start, or the henchies will just run towards your Tyrian partners, leaving you (and Togo) to die.
Move alot in the mission, if you stay in one spot too long, afflicted will amass near you, and all those deaths will hurt you and the henchmen very badly... the first area is the hardest one, tbh.
Oh, and I've done the mission before that with a level 14 daggers R/A with 55 Armor Level as well... 15 henchmen... only had one death

I often take all henchies for this (from Factions side)
usually the other team is 100% henchman
so its me and 15 henchies doing the mission

It shouldn't matter what they have or haven't done. A good guild will help, no matter where they are in the game. I cannot count how many times I've done these missions, over and above the times I did it with my guys. Time to find a more helpful guild.

Yes. The henchmen keep up better conversation than an average PUg, but from my experience I'd say that's because in an average PUG no one has enough time to type anything. With Factions missions being mostly about speed, it's no surprise that people just wish to get it over with - without stopping to talk. Vizunah is one of the worst on this, with waves of enemies coming on.

Eh,noone i meet says anything when theyve got all the time of the world either though,so it cant be that, and the getting it over with mentality is worse, that would imply that they dont even enjoy playing.

Guys I would like to update you by saying I did it at last! yay It was the most unlikely team no one spoke and it has really wierd classes. It always feels like I have to end up leading those teams..saying what to do calling targets etc...reminds me so much of the time when I did the last prophecies mission with 1 warrior 4 rangers a necro and 2 healer hench, when I failed many times before...
Anyway thanks for you help it did help me in doing it. I do find really good groups sometimes, I just don't have the time to find one all the time, and it's hard to tell until you get playing.
And whoever mention it, yes I did spend a lotttt of time in pre searing at once point...those were the days.
And yes I really enjoy HA, but since my old pvp guild broke down I havn't found a decent one again, now that I'm unranked I can't get into the good and organised groups.
Basically I need a guild I really enjoy, anyone got any tips, other than guild hopping?
