Amm sorry for asking this but what exacly does this title do, except that you get those 2 15 att quests? I didnt realy notice any big difference in dmg or anything.. Are there any other benefits for doing it?

From what I garnered during my own quest for sunspear points getting a higher level in that particular title unlocked more skills to be bought at the skill trainer.

Why would a PvE only title give advantage usable in PvP?
Perhaps if it would allow you to get a buff at PvE res shrines, then sure. But having constant +100 health from being max in this rank? No WAY!

It wasn't possible...once I hit Sunspear Marshal, there were no more blessings available from any Scout. If this holds true when Nightfall is officially released...then to get to Legend, it will have to be from farming on the mainland.

That's why I don't think anyone can complain about it. I mean, for both 15 point quests you only need to make it to captain I think. You can make that easy from quests and killing things on the way between towns. I mean, if you can't even be bothered to stop and talk to the scouts that's your own choice. Don't blame the game. Anyway, how many monsters do you think you kill just finishing the campaign anyway? Trust me, you'll have more points then you could ever need. Except for maybe max title, but if you want that you should earn it. You shouldn't just get it in like 3 days...

it unlocks paths and quests for your character the higher your title is.

Marshal is a higher tier the Commander...
U were commander, scouts were giving u orders to kill spefic foes. Once u are Marshall (5000 points) noone in the starter island gives u these orders = u cant reach 10k points and be a legend. in the preview event at least.

^^ Exactly...I talked with every scout upon reaching the Sunspear Marshal rank and NONE had a blessing to offer any more promotion points nor were there any other quests/missions for reaching this rank...the Legend rank could NOT be obtained on the island during this preview event...

I'm not sure what the dispute going on is about but I'll try to help clarify some stuff from what I gathered.

The known ranks are as follows

Sunspear Sergeant - 50 points
Sunspear Master Sergeant - 100 points
Sunspear Lieutenant - 175 points --- This rank required to wear title
Sunspear Captain - 300 points
Sunspear Lt. Commander - 500 points
Sunspear Commander - 1000 points
Sunspear Marshal - 5000 points
Sunspear Legend - 10,000 points

aside from the 15 attribute point quests, I didn't actually notice any benefits from becoming higher rank. I did however notice quests become available in towns I had already been in, but this might have also been due to the fact that there were multiple quests from a person, where you have to complete one for the next to become available. So, while it is possible there are quests specific to your rank, I don't think that anything other than the first few are required to advance through the story.

More skills being available, I'm going to have to disagree with completely. Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention, but I'm pretty sure I had the same skills available when I made my char and when I finished, and I bought majority of the skills available to me because I could

Another thing people are talking about is the Blessings and other runs that gain points. As I noted previously, the higher your Sunspear rank, the harder it is to find scouts who will bless you, and once I achieved Marshal, there were no scouts anywhere in any of the zones. Not even the ones farthest from the portals. So, as some have said, it is impossible to get Legend title on the Istani Island, unless perhaps you did it like people did in pre-searing to get to higher levels. I'm not sure if it would work, because I'm not sure if all the quests combined would give you 5k more points, but you could probably work up your titles strictly by the scouts blessings, and then once you get marshal, do all your quests to possibly get Legend - before leaving the island - I didn't think about this during the event, and I doubt I would of had time for it anyway, but It could be a possibility.

So again I will state, and you can look at my previous posts, Once you got Sunspear Marshal rank during the event, It was impossible to get any more blessings therefor not allowing you to get anymore promotion points unless you still had quests left.

It's just a game. If you don't want a title, don't get it. Yeah, I think titles are dandy, but I don't think that one person having them makes them any better.
