Sounds like either a really dumb bot or a really dumb player.

lol I saw something like this the other day. The enemy team only had 3 players, and we killed them quite easily, but afterwards the match didn't end.
We stood around for a while waiting for victory, when we saw a Rt/W standing on the enemy spawning point. He had apprently been maintaining his spirits throughout the match, but we had never noticed him because he stayed at the start while his team were slaughtered away from his spirits. He said nothing, and continued doing it while we killed him.

Obviously bots farming for skill unlocks. Usually it's monks with mending, I guess Anet caught on to that after a year or two.

I ran into something similar in Urgoz, back when it was open to everyone. The party wiped, some people left, but a few of us tried to get the rit to resign. It ignored us and kept casting spirits even though there were no enemies in the area and it was the only member alive. Totally bizarre. I wonder if it's still there? lmao

I think there is possibility that these Rt/Ws are bots. If they really are bots, something needs to be done (I guess)
Thoughts?

Sounds to me like the team that ran off out of their own spirits and got killed way ahead of their Rt allies are the n00bs, regardless of whether the Rts were bots or not. In terms of "need" to do something, I'd rather see the bad players who aggro ahead of their allies get nerfed rather than such bots (aggroers are even worse for the team), but I guess that would not be as practical a thing to do.

I've wondered why no one bots in RA for simple unlocks.
Lately I've noticed. Rangers who stand at spawn point and spam troll ungent whirling stance and powershot. never moving nor speaking teh entire game.
and then I've run into them some 5-6 rounds later and tehy do exactly the same thing
warriors that stand near spawn point and then auto attack anything that coems near. useing only heal sig.
Ra isn't teh best place to farm. BUt it seems to ahve a few that do it.

It's pretty simple why they use a Rt/W.
a) Dolyak, albeit a silly choice, reduces damage
b) The spirits, also reduce damage (so he won't die as quick)
c) The bot can stand at the start, and the spirits he casts will aid his teammates, therefore he does SOMETHING and has more of a chance of winning, rather than the traditional afk-bots
