What I think I hear is from Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. There's a four-note sequence that follows the same pattern as part of the opening theme to that game. The first time I heard it, I jumped. For those with DirectSong, you can change which songs play. Locate your guildwars.ds file and mess around with it. Don't forget to make a backup.

I miss the original and factions theme too...they were much more emotionally powerful compared to the Nightfalls one...

. Seriously though - thanks for letting me know about the cycling themes - is there any way to manipulate the order they play in (for those of use without Direct Sound packs)? The Nightfall theme is great, but it's a little to Bombastic Action Movie for me to hear more than once or twice a day..... No offence at all intended - that I can stand to hear a tune even once a day means it's really pretty good!

I know that after the Nightfall themesong, you will get the same music which played in the Pre-sear of Prophecies, but not the actual Prophecies themesong. Do I have to wait longer then if I want to hear the Prophecies themesong?

Not for free, unless you have your prophecies preorder - it should be on that CD.
Otherwise, you can buy the soundtrack from directsong.
