i dont think this will be too much of a problem, only towards the people who sells mods, prices will probably drop, other than that, i dont see what the big deal is.

Yes but unlike the real world there are markets which post ask/bid price and if there was some mechanism like that in GW than people would see the prices come down IMO. If someone only thinks 1 person is selling a certain item and they want it, they really have no bargaining power to pay much less than what the seller wants. This mechanism would thena allow you to to actually see the supply and demand of an item. I know I try and avoid selling an item if I see someone spamming the same WTS. This is less supply and demand than I have it, no one else is selling, so if you want it pay up. Of course this relates to the whole auction house thing...

with this new inscription thing, i dont even want a 15>50 crystalline sword anymore. lol. i only liked it before cause it was really freaking rare and hard to get one. Theres nothing special about crystallines anymore. they may just be a bit more rare then some other skins. meh..

people , why are you flaming high end sellers? Saying they are selfish and just want gold and stuff.
Wake up! Anyone can get a 15^50 collector, 20/20 sundering mods suck , Vampiric , Zealous FTW, and they are cheap. +30hp also sucks, 5al vs all, ftw, and very cheap.
+30hp only useful in pvp for blood spike and other dmg that ignores armor. Make a pvp character and get that for free.
Stop flaming. 15^50 weapons are already available for everyone.
The rare skin ones should be kept in game and at the high prices 100k+xx ectos because some people just enjoy playing to get them and collect them.
Ofcourse this will be too easy after..... if the rumours are true.

"bit more rare?"
What's the cheapest Crystalline for sale right now? That will be as low as the price goes, even with Inscriptions.
And I suspect Pefect Gold Crystallines will still be high in demand, just because... they're Gold. (depending on how the specifics of this Inscription thing plays out).

I can? Where?
Again, I've already said I feel sorry for those who will lose money... but, that's the risk for speculation.
Plus, many high-end sellers admit they'll actually make money on this update.
So, this boils down to one issue: Will people stop playing Guild Wars with easier access to rare skins (keep in mind, the rarest skins, like crystallines, will still be out of the price range for most players).
And that, we can only guess.

As far as I know, 15 over 50% health weapons are only available in Crafters.
The only 15 over 50 "collector" I know of is the Faction End of Game collector...
Which is a great reward, but:
They're "One per character".
The sword is req 15.
They're Green.
So, if there are 15 over 50 collectors, please let me know. I'm looking for them.

hush now, you are giving away all the secrets, we need those ppl to buy +30 hp
sword mods for 75k, just go to Droks and have the crafter make you one for 5k.....
only problem with these weapons is, you cannot get the mods back off once you
install them, so beware.....

This makes no sense. Crystallines are still just as rare as they were. The drop rate is no higher today than before this update was printed in the PC Gamer mag. The only difference is that now people can buy crystallines with bad mods or no mods and mod up to 15^50. I know for sure that I will be modding mine with a 15% unconditional so that my Req 8 will still be the rarest of the rare.

In the real world we play for higher stakes. Like, feeding our families.
No one can afford to price their goods or services uncompetitively for weeks on end in the real world, hoping to one day run into a fool who's willing to pay. In the real world, there's one very important thing you hardly see in game economies: the need to generate turnover. Guild Wars tries to create the need for turnover by limiting our storage, but the real hardcore crowd circumvents this by having multiple accounts and more recently, extra character slots.
The bottom line is, Guild Wars has a very dysfunctional economy right now because natural economic principles don't apply. Having NPC traders for every commodity would go a long way in fixing it.
I think I just figured it all out while writing this.
Imagine having trader NPCs to regulate the prices of all the components needed to be able to make every possible piece of equipment. That would be the best possible fix to the economy short of an auction house. All we need are salvagable inherent mods (inscriptions), and an upgrade/inscription trader. Equipment trade will be subject to prices indexed by the game engine, like dyes, runes and materials. The supply and demand mechanism will kick in for real.
I think this is the trade improvement we've been promised, and there won't be an auction house, ever.

Yes, because PVE is ALL about how much gold you have right? Fighting monsters and exploring and just plain having fun has nothing to do with right?
Geezus, if you think items devaluing a little bit is ruining PVE, you really should play a game where the focus is on trading and the economy instead. It's pathetic that people like you place so much importance on how rich you in the game instead of enjoying the game for it's main attraction....and it's sure not playing the economy.

what if Anet nerf 15 unconditional too dont forget it is an advantage too.. you can't have any advantage in GW.
and i bet they will nerf it if ppl start selling them for skyrocking price the whinners will start whinning and say OMFG Dead by armor i want it too! and almight Gail will make it accessable to everybody or completely nerf it at once. they already nerf the rockmolder..

You and I think alike Gli.
I was going to post this, but I figured all the flames I would get from the traders wouldn't be worth it. I'm glad you did, though.
Merchants FTW.
Tommy and Death: Yes, what if 15% unconditionals are removed?
I support such a move. Would that bother anyone?

I can't imagine they'll implement an inscription equivalent for inherent mods that don't spawn anymore. Maybe that's what they meant by "most weapons" in the PC Gamer article.

The problem with GW is the lack of any good options for rich people to spend money on. There is FoW armor and....title, and that's it?! Title for one is absolutley pointless since you have to mouse over the person to see it lol, no one will bother looking. So that leaves FoW armor and Fow armor only. (well, and guild npcs but that's only limited to guild hall, so its just as bad)
What Anet need to is to add more stuff like Foot Aura (diablo 2 style) for 200k, head halo for 300k, Merchant exclusive plasma sword for 400k, crackling lighting body aura for 500k, collector edition style dances 700k, PvP style emote, etc. etc. MORE DAMMIT! (and NOT invisible stuff like title and minipet.)
Then rich people will be distracted long enough that weapon won't be considered.

I don't support things like this at all.
They can have everything they want and willing to spend money for.
I don't care about what other players have, I'm interested in what I can craft and use for my characters.

For swords? Take your celestial essences to Senji's and get yourself a 15^50 Daodao sword.

I only support cosmetic differences, like crystallines.
15% unconditional is unfair, not only to fellow PvEers who don't have access to it, but especially PvPers!
This should have been removed from the game when the drops were. Huge mistake by Anet.

If they want Sup Vigors to drop to Sup Absorption levels, they can do that, too.

They actually wanted a drop increase of Superior Vigors. Unfortunately it never really happened and it was forgotten by Anet like many other topics, because they are too busy to meet their next deadline
Thus i've lost my faith in phrases like "wait and see" and "if it's broken, they'll fix it later".
