Well here on guildwiki
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Hero
they list 15 heroes while all the magazine articles and everything only talk about 12 so the other three must be "elite".

There is no need to rewrite the story line to do so. So far Anet has said we can take the heroes into the other campaigns with us so the ability is there (and that required no story line change). We have also seen the addition of a few quests after the release of Factions. There is nothing to preclude adding a quest to Factions that gave us a few heroes. It wouldn't be *nearly* as large a change as Sorrows Furnace was to Prophecies. There is also nothing to say Tyria will not get the same treatment.
Who knows. They may all come from Nightfall or each chapter may have one or more, there is no reason to think they will not be in other places nor is there any reason to think they will. Anet has never seemed adverse to adding some content to chapters after purchase and I can perfectly see the wisdom in having it Nightfall only content. At this point we simply do not know.

Another interesting debate, ANET have never said there WONT be, after all, they must leave something a suprise
However, this is one thing which I dont think they would keep a secret..
There would be no commercial benefit to keeping this a secret, they would advertise it, sing and dance about it, and marvel at their own brilliance!
Imagine the advertisment tag line..
"If you own Factions, you can even recruit special Faction-class heroes which Nightfall owners would NOT want to miss out on!"
This would encourage Factions owners to buy nightfall (if undecided) and New Nightfall owners to buy Factions (to help bolster the population in cantha)
But I see no such song and dance so I really dont expect to see them, but I would very much like to!

ah yes, makes perfect sense actually, having one factions class but not the other...
if they didn't have heros for those with the factions CD-key then hero vs. hero really will be a 3W/Mo 1Mo/x fest.
Think about it. why would they not have factions heros in Nightfall?
they didn't shut factions classes out when it came to skills and armor, and i dought they'll do it to them in the case of heros.

You can easily verify the information on GuildWiki by, you know, just verifying the source.
(Cropped screenshot from about 98 seconds into the second trailer.)
But no, you'd rather lazily cast aspersions about the work of others.

I wasn't casting aspersions; lol. I was just pointing out a piece of relevant info for someone else to follow up on if they wanted to. I didn't look into it myself cause frankly I just couldn't care in the least whether or not there were sin or rit heroes; I was just trying to help out all these other people that do seem to actually care. So you sir need to stop being so rude to people doing others a favor >_<
I simply made that statement to point out that it does need to be verified rather than taking some unknown persons word on blind faith.

Fine, fine.
Anyway, this brings up an unrelated question: how are Jin and Sousuke in the same party? Weren't they supposed to be mutually exclusive?!

If you've seen the NF trailers, Master of Whispers guy is a necro.

When they made the trailer; the account they were recording probablly had access to all the heroes or something. Just like Gaile's super power to type in purple.

Anet mensioned that a sin from Canthen to Elona want to investigate the source of plauge in the NF gameguide, so I would guess this is sin hero, Zenmai.

I mean.....the one in the formal NF game box, in taiwan, my friends already got the NF game box tw version(Im not sure its collector edition or not), the guide in the box shows the NF story and the whole NF map.
The interesting thing is the NF map is in south of crystal desert in tyria, and they are in connection.
Also, I think they didnt decide to cancel anything.

From the official Prima games forums:
http://forums.primagames.com/showthread.php?t=62
Either the Nightfall guide was canceled; or their mods are huge asses that need to be fired for screwing with people like that >_<
