a shameless ploy to get more people back into the game...

right about now alot of people are getting bored with the game due to Factions being so short that it didn't keep people's interest for very long. And when people get bored of the game chances are they won't buy the next. From what I saw in the Nightfall preview I won't buy it, it just seems as if there isn't enough new stuff.

And it also seems to me that Anet is running out of idea for special event weekends... why they started them in the first place, see above paragraph. Every weekend the amount of players probably quadruples when they have an event.

So, that being said... this is one of the more retarded things I've seen. I was thinking there would be 'games of chance' during the halloween event, and the x-mas event, and maybe even valentines day and st. patricks day. We don't have to bring back the games for no apparent reason. There are plenty of holidays, do it during one of them.

Wow... they bring back the games to help people with their title and people still find reasons to complain.... *unreal* I feel sorry for some of you who just never can be happy.

To clear up a few things, it's the games not the festival itself.

It's not news that Tyria is not getting the events so get over it. Or yeah don't buy Nightfall... then when all the events move over to there you'll have even more reason to complain. der

This is a thread about the Dragon games not a petty rant about Factions. Do it somewhere else.

And if you dont like the games you dont have to play them you know. Other people like them. Again, go rant somewhere else.

People have been asking for games of chance to return since the Dragon Festival ended.

Arenanet listens to its customers and complies.

People complain.

What?

Also, I'm just happy about the return of Dodgeball. Good god that's addictive.

The main point to make out of this folks... is that A-Net listen to us rather than leave us alone and bored to death playing factions!

Caddyshack? Your probaly talking about "Goundhogs Day".
Caddyshack is the one about Golf. Bill Murry is in both.

Back on subject: Money sink to titles yeah.....

I just hope they’re not planning on having the Dragon Festival in lieu of a Halloween event.

Woulda been nice if they gave more notice about this coming back so as people could save enough money to max the titles. I got up to tier 3 of both titles last time and had I known this was coming I woulda spent time making money so that they can be maxed out this time around. One week isn't enough time to make that much money.

This is what I'm thinking. This is their 'modest' Halloween.

Any place can have a festival in real life simply because they want a festival dont they? The Carnival at our local mall didnt come for any specific events, But came just because they came. Nice and simple

So is this dragon festival event a week long event like last time or only 2 to 3 days?

So if it's green weekend on this week, my guess is that the festival games are for next week's weekend event.

After that it's Nightfall.

I only read the first page, but it seems there are those out there that don't realize that this is going to be the weekend event for next weekend.

To which I say - meh, whatever.
