My ranger will land in Elona on Friday night, doing every mission and quest along the way. Capping and wall hugging as well. I would like to speed though the storyline, but I will read everything and try to leave no stone unturned as I hurry though.

Well....

everyone will want the next best items but...
a. People will not have enough money (some people need to take financial skills)
b. Or, simply farm it, soon word will spread and cost WILL GO DOWN,and quickly too.

As far as going quickly through the game, for the first time , I'm GLAD that im not spending money on Nightfall right when it gets out, although I may not get an item that'd be "the next best item" anyways. I'm waiting, I won't even know what hit me.

No I will take my time. I have 5 toons to get through the game, not sure which will go first. Prob war or ele.

As far as trying to get gold I have over 600k now, nothing really to buy. I have the items, weapons and skins, armor and mini pets I like. And getting some great weapon, really wont see much more than the overpriced stuff for sale now. Since most will wait, I will just farm any skins I like.

Anyways I always found when I am broke or little money, those big items dont come. But when I have enough and nothing to buy here come the req 8 15^50 or +5 energy items.

I am looking forward to seeing the new armor. I like Factions canthan armor for most. Might get a few new sets of 15k for my toons.

im just trying to finish up the missions on kurzick side, getting my 10k kurzick faction from aspenwood.

i feel if i dont ill never do it (youve seen how empty the hatchery mission is)
and if the eternal grove is the same, once nightfall comes i bet it would almost be impossible.

so yes, i do feel pressured.

I hate to tell you, but the clock is still there.

I'm surprised at the response here. I'll be sure to post screnshots of a dead Abaddon.

I'm still refining my potential Hero build. I've almost have it perfected. I'll post it upon NF release so we can all revel in my genius and egotism.

I am happy to see so many ppl will be taking their time. I will be rushing through to the end as quickly as possible so as to learn as much as I can in a short time. Knowledge is power. My 55 monk is also my healer, so as soon as I get to new areas I can test them for their farmibilty. I have 4 accounts and can never have too much gold.
I rushed through Factions and had a lot of fun beating it in 2 days. I haven't really returned to it because the game is subpar in my view as a pve'er. Guildwars will never feel like it did when I first started, but that doesn't mean I don't have fun. I just find 55 monking more fun than grinding to get there.
Also, there is no feeling like getting to the last levels and being the only one there during prime playing hours. It makes me feel so 1337.
So for all of you taking your time, kudos, it just makes my gameplay that much better.

No. Im going to play though it much more slowely than Prophercies and Factions.

1)the story is much better.

2)the setting is much more interesting and uniqe and fresh than the Tyrian and Canthan one that has already been done to death in other games.

3)quests are much better.

4)quest rewards seem to be better as well, so it should be worth it.

I will start my taking my tyrian warrior through nightfall and see how it goes from there.

say bye bye to 100k+XX ectos if you are able to make your own req8 +30-5 'gloom shield' in elona by adding inherent mods.

Yep. If you can add inherent mods, rushing through will not earn the riches so many want. Since you can get those gold req 8 no inherents and make them how you want. Also say goodbye to any of those good prices now.

Once you get enough and will not have to worry, really pushing forward to make a ton more is pointless, unless they are selling the gold online.

Yes and no.

I'm really tired of usually having less than 10k in my storage and on all my characters combined. I'm also tired of doing farming runs and getting 1-2k per run from it and usually not doing more than 1 farming run a week just because farming (IMO) is boring grind, which is supposed to be what GW doesn't have. Because of that, I really want to rush through the game, find some item that is max damage and has an awsome skin, and then sell it for a ton of money in a early part of the game.

On the other hand, if I do that, then I know that I will probably not like Nightfall, just like a lot of the Factions haters that rushed through Factions the first weekend they had it and then said it sucked because of that. I'm not going to rush just because if I don't like the game, what is the point of having money?

If only there were no stupid E-bayers. Then not much would get nerfed and then farming would get you more money. Then I wouldn't sort of want to rush through Nightfall....

PS, I'm not trying to flame factions, or anyone that doesnt like factions. I accually like factions more than Prophecies, and GW is probably one of my favorite games ever. It's just that there are a lot of people that rushed through factions, and every one of them (as far as I know) hates Factions.

Pressure? Not really, but I already know I'll finish the game asap. I unlocked every regular skill in Factions (took like a week b/c it was so damned boring), before playing through the actual storyline. This time I'm planning on playing through the storyline, before unlocking every regular skill.

Factions taught me that most people are extremely slow at achieving UAX, so I won't feel bad putting it off a week or two.

You will only feel pressured to finish the game quickly inorder to have characters have access to profitable areas to farm greens/new skins to try to make some profit before their prices fall into affortable range when over farming kicks in.

Any normal player in this case do not feel the need to do so. In fact those who have no interest in farming and paying high amounts of gold for over priced greens should take their time to play and enjoy the game and get them when they are dirt cheap if you really like the skin/stats.

The rich can pay whatever they want in the beginning for something that will become 10-20k in a few months or until the sellers got tired of spamming their wares for 100k+XXe. (i am not anti-power trading, i do it also being a farmer myself)

If we have not learned anything from the past year and a half or six months for those who just joined us through factions, we know this principle well enough.

I blew thru factions with my 5 characters so fast that I'm actually really bored the last couple of weeks now with nothing to do.
The only thing I'm doing now is Glint and SF missions with my Rit since I've done everything else.

So I'm taking my time this round.

I'm sure this is everyone's intent when they play a game. Some people like rushing through and feeling the satisfaction of knowing they are the first to experience certain things in the game - then sharing it with those who have yet to get there, telling them how great it is. Then there are those that like to take their time, which seems to be what the majority of people (who posted in this thread) will be doing.

Either way, one should not diss the other because it is all just a matter of priorities - do you want to enjoy the game by rushing through it or by taking your time...

Personally, I'll rush through it for once as I won't be attending HA as soon as NF comes out, which is what I did with Factions (I'll have r12 by Friday ). I want at least 1 character to be at the end and done with it (probably my monk), then I'll start a Paragon and take it slowly.

Lol, I'm still not finished Factions. I keep getting side tracked. But I have been very tempted to get my Monk through Factions b4 Nightfall comes out. The ONLY reason for this though is so that I can find a sweet place to farm something nice and expensive so that I can get some of that fat cash. By fat cash I mean fleecing all those ebay gold buyers out of thier "hard earned" gold.

Tear through the game mass farm greens then either play through again read the story ect or work on the new title effects.

I will probably lvl any new charcters to 20 this weekend not because it is a race but mainly because i wont have time like other people to do it later. Then I will mainly explore the terrain after collecting my elite skills and weapons, upgrade my gear on a few of my other characters and then take them over to factions and prophecies as you know they will need those areas also. This will take me a few months to do on my side time.
