Some people farm, some finish the campaign, some start a new character, and most carry on to the next available campaign.
Also, L20 isn't the end of it all, you still have to Ascend (or become Weh no Su in Cantha) and get your final 30 attribute points...

Finish the game. You should be level twenty far before the end of the campaign.

it makes me sad that RPGs have become nothing more than grinding levels to many players. Give them an RPG where you don't need to grind to make a useful character and they just don't know what to do any more.
This game really doesn't even start untill you are level 20. Do all the quests and missions, help others, make other characters, etc.

In prophecies, you hit level 20 somewhere around southern kyrta in most cases. You still have about 35% of the game to go after that. In factions you hit 20 around vizunah. There is about 80% of the game to go after that. If all you care about is leveling up, why are you even worrying about leveling if you aren't going to play after that (this is assuming you aren't just leveling a character to 20 for pvp play)? Your question could just as easily be asked "What do you do after you reach level 2?"

If you are lvl 20 and HAVE finish the "game" as in all the missions. It can get boring if u don't have any direction. For me It was TITLES...I have spent countless hours trying to get the various title levels.

I would say that most who don't go on to PvP after ascending and getting there 200 attribute points and go cap some elites they need go on to farming, running or go out and work on titles and maybe that missed mission or two.I need to go and collect some of that ecto and shards as I have only been to the FoW once since ascending although I went to the UW before you had to be ascended at lvl16

I find it amazing how many level 20 players I meet who have no idea how to play the game using their characters. As many people have said before, the game really only begins at level 20. There is so much to learn about teamwork, about the vast list of skills you have to choose from (after all you can only have 8 at any time), a vast number of professions to play. When my first character, an ele reached level 20, I still had absolutely no clue what any of the other class skills did, much less what the earth and water lines offered from my own class.
The advaned areas and quests in this game offer much more challenge and require some skill and practice thatn just grabbing a few player standing around town, and bashing a few monster heads in.
hone your skills

I don't find the game enjoyable until level 20. I just really don't like grinding for levels, even in GW's limited amount (also, hence, why I like Final Fantasy 8).
I farm...run...buy...sell...quest...pursue titles...capture skills...and help other people. Before you get to level 20, the game really isn't much of anything other than storyline (which GW lacks in quality).

It took only 2 weeks to get to level 20 in Tyria(its takes less than half that time in Cantha) and being lv20 doesn't give you any extra advantages other than having reasonably high attributes.
Stuff to do after lv 20:
-Complete every mission. Mission don't count as completed if you don't do the bonus.
-Complete every quest.
-Ascend.
-Go for titles.
-Get all the Elites.
-Get maxed Armor and Weapons.
-PvP.
-Farm.
-Help newbies out. Grateful n00bs just may help you when you least expect it.
-Do it all over again with a new character. Heck do the same profession in a different campaign. Its a new experience each time.
-Write some fanfic. j/k

What do you do when you get out of college?
You go get on with life!
For me, I do anything *but* PvP. Everyone's said some good ones so far!
Play with my friends, try different classes and combinations, get as much shiny armor as I can (15k or lots of shiny 1.5k), get more nifty items (to use, give to friends, or sell), take characters to the next game, help people, take screenshots of my characters and make silly desktop wallpapers, gloat over the goodies I have, Underworld/FoW (neither of which I've found enough people to go do yet, but the option is there!), Elite missions in Cantha, get highest ranking on missions, try to solo areas/missions, go for some titles, ect.
What, Vala, are you saying we can't write fanfic until we're level 20? :: snicker :: Me, I'm having a hankerin' to do some fan art... if I can EVER dig my art table out... grumble...
