They're already going up, a bunch of people in LA and droks last night were buying up as many as they can. So they can have a monopoly on it.

Any reason for this speculation?

After factions release ecto/shard prices acutally dropped for a while because people were getting new (factions) armors. I expect the same to happen as everyone spends their money to get 15k Nightfall armors...

Well, after the update, and the AI change was discovered, everybody and their mother was selling ectos in ToA. The price dropped like a rock - I have no idea why. I also would have thought the price would go up - not down.

edit: Alleji - yep - that makes sense... Has more to do with Nightfall and new armors coming than the AI change. Of course, this means it will be a temporary drop and will likely return or go even higher over time.

no prices went down becasue people thought they wernt going to be as rare so they sold all of theirs. people with Rts and A's had Fissure armor a few days after factions was released.

I suspect that a lot of materials will go up within the first few weeks of the release.

Too bad for those who didn't stock up on the material drops like I did. :P

It's partly speculative panic response, give it time when things settle sooner or later people will find new ways to farm again.

Why would someone randomly think ecto isn't going to be rare?

IMO spending money on new armors (demand up) as opposed to FoW (demand down) is a more likely explanation.

ur forgetting that evryone want to be the first with para/derv fow arour.. and since 55 farm is so heavy nerfed prizes will go up

From what I've heard they do. I haven't tested it myself, but I've heard several people say they do. Considering that they run from cyclone axe and triple chop I'm sure they do.

JUST FYI you guys can look forward to a new DUAL UW build to become all the rage soon enough. Me and my buddy already got it figured out last night. For now we got a monopoly on it, But i doubt it will be long before others figure it out and it gets posted on wiki. Its about 90% of the speed of SS/55 so a bit slower but not by much. GL to you all on figurin this one out.

Theres also 2/3 man trapper teams. Also mesmer 55 they wont run from IW will they?
