Alright. None of you would know me, or remember me. I was uh... forcefully removed from my computer screen by my parents a few months ago, got back, couldn't really get back into GW, and stopped posting pretty much alltogether. I caught a 20-minute sneak-peak into Nightfall at my buddy's during the preview event, and was intrigued. I'm considering buying it, but I'm really on the fence because I am wondering if I will still end up just going "uh... right. bye." and dropping the game again.

So what i'm saying/asking is, I still really like the Guild Wars features. The playability, the way it's formatted. I mainly left because of people last time, so I really am not comming on saying "i hate this game, but should i buy it?". Is there anything really redeeming about Nightfall that would compell me to buy it just garunteeing (sp?) that I'd love the gameplay so much to stay on for months?

I'd really like to hear honest, well-placed opinions. Thanks in advance, although I'm feeling like this thread is either going to be a flamefest or a gushing, bubbly "zomg 1337" brigade. If you think you can actually give a pretty good review, please post :-). Thanks.

I came out of GW retirement to play NightFall so I'm hoping it is worth the £40I paid for it.

I have no idea what most of these are talking about, so I just figured I'd make a post. Thanks for being semi-useless 0.o I'll go try reading them again. would still appreciate something easier to digest for the completely-disconnected, though.

These types of reply are (personally) immature and poorly reflect the GW community.
I am shocked that such replies came from a well respected community.

Even though you have a poor opinion of the GW community please don't give up on GW yet! Its a good game that deserves some reconsideration.

As for the community... if you find it to your disliking then switch off the local chat. It helps alot

Just playing the game by yourself (or with guildies) has become more enjoyable now.
-Heroes have been added (controllable henchmen)
-AI updates
-Alliance
-Alliance Battles
-facelifted PvP
-More intriguing PvE and larger map than Nightfall

I suggest you get a trial cd key and test GW:NF out for yourself (once again :P )

Sadly some people are a bit immature, nevertheless it looks like you've been pointed in the right direction. Depending on when you left, you may enjoy a whole host of new changes besides just what Nightfall has to offer. Guild Wars is constantly changing, so there's usually something new if you look hard enough.

Heroes will bring greatly improved AI assistance that is tweakable and micromanagable and will likely prove much more useful than the average group of miscreants you'll find in your local outpost
