Seriously doubt just adding crocs to the game as a tameable pet is even the slightest nod toward the late Mr. Irwin. However, there's nothing stopping anyone from wanting to believe that, so, ya know, believe. Whatever.

I'm doing my own nod by taming the croc and naming him "Irwin". It fits him, methinks.

that's a good idea. Maybe I'll name Koss' croc (oh cmon you just know he wants a croc) something as a nod. As far as inserting crocs, you're right, but the difference here is that they took out a pet they had already selected and replaced it with the croc. Anyhow, it doesn't really matter as it was just some speculation. I think you're on the right track, though I'd think it would be funny to join a PUG and see 8 Steve's in the party lol....
