I quit soon after I purchased Factions.
My wife however, decided to stick it out through nightfall.

Eventually she was able to convince me to take her trial key for a run.
When that ended I went out and got the collector's edition for Nightfall.

My name is Bound and I approve of Nightfall

Factions was truly god awful. I was an avid Prophecies player, but Factions PvE was horrendous. If it weren't for the PvP, I'd probably have uninstalled GW.

Nightfall, on the other hand, is a lot of fun. I really enjoy the PvE this time around.

I liked both. I still keep wanting to make an assassin and ritualist, even though I had some and deleted both of them. Got the rit pretty far too, just couldn't stand playing it anymore.

Nightfall is better for me, it's bigger and has new drop and new things. That's what makes it better basically. Drops excite me. I also like the grinding, but not the fact that I can't get any higher in sunspear points. I love stats so titles are for me and Nightfall introduces titles that I get to fight and kill for which is one of my other favorite things to do.

Hardly any Factions love on this site...

I like Factions for what it is, not what I wish it was. And for what it is, its far from a god aweful game.

If there's one thing I hate about Factions is it made Prophecies seem boring as hell. Only satisfaction I get in Prophecies these days is the Southern Shiverpeaks.

I like Nightfall cause it feels like a combination of Prophecies and Factions.

But my Dervish will definately be doing the Factions campaign. Prophecies...probably not.

The storyline is better, the VO is better, the Cutscenes are better, the graphics are better, 2 of the best proffessions, more missions, leveling JUST right, way better than the other two.

Nightfall pwns.

I enjoyed Prophecies and Factions, but Nightfall is my favourite I think.

I felt Factions did the complete opposite of what enjoyed in the Prophecies campaign. Instant levelling, immediate access to most if not all skills, lame storyline and voice acting, and a number of small other factors. The only thing I enjoyed from it were the Alliance battles and the new skills.

Nightfall on the other hand, is simply amazing. The first thing you'll notice, even as early as the Plains of Jarin, is just how beautiful the landscape is. I didn't mind walking around killing a few mobs with my new low-level character just to explore.

Most importantly however, the PvE missions and quests are great fun. I have a friend who never plays PvE, only GvG's or does HA. We convinced him to make a new Dervish in Kamadan -- now we can't get him away for when we want to GvG.

Nightfall is simply an amazing product.

Nightfall missions kicks ass, its way more creative than Factions and Prophecies missions.

I wholly agree.
Whilst I love Prophecies too, Factions feels to me like an infinitely more 'repeatable' game. It seems like more light-hearted fun. I like that you level so fast. I even like that it's relatively short. I have 8 characters with whom I have completed Factions, and yet have only taken 2 of them through Prophecies - And it will be a long while, I think, before I feel like tackling all of Prophecies again with any more of them.

I'm enjoying Nightfall very much, but whilst taking one character through the newbie island was relatively exciting (if a bit slow going), my second character is just proving a chore. I mean, sure, it's my own choice to have so many characters, and I'll take the consequences (), but whilst Pre-Searing and Istan give me that 'Oh god, not again,' feeling, I like that Shing Jea island is over too quickly for me to get bored of it :P

For me, I think the speed of progress made Factions more exciting and more playable. I can totally understand why so many people dislike it, and I can totally see that it's lacking a lot when compared to Prophecies, but the truth is, after spending so long in Factions, Prophecies - and even Nightfall at points - feels a little boring now ^^'

I'm with you on this one - Nightfall > Fations > Prophecies (in my own opinion). I'm loving Nightfall so far.
