Here is information about the items and rewards for the current Wintersfest Tournament:

The rewards will have statistics that are identical to last year, and just like all previous candy cane items, they will not be moddable. Here are the stats of the items:

Axe: 10-10 slashing damage, no requirement.
Bow: 15-15 piercing damage, no requirement.
Dagger: 5-5 piercing damage, no requirement.
Hammer: 15-15 blunt damage, no requirement.
Rod: 10-10 cold damage, no requirement.
Scythe: 10-10 slashing damage, no requirement.
Shield: Armor level 10, no requirement.
Spear: 10-10 piercing damage, no requirement.
Staff: 10-10 cold damage, no requirement.
Sword: 10-10 slashing damage, no requirement.

Now, keep in mind that we have not announced distribution plans, but these items will be tradable. In addition, there will be an opportunity (announced in the next few weeks) for non-PVP players to have an opportunity to try and earn them as well.

Dang, I was really hoping these would be max and moddable. It would be really cool to actually wield one into battle, but I guess they'll be relegated to moments of randomness.

Note that right now these are just tournament rewards, meaning if you arent a top 100 Guild or have more ectos than your storage can hold, you shouldnt even be worrying about them existing. Though she did just say Non-PvPers will have a chance to get them.

It'd be funny if they just added them to collectors like last years CC weapons, that would be a big "F U" to the Tournament winners

Well they really can't give us max CC weapons just like that, or else everyone would have one. The economy would be affected greatly, especially if they were moddable. Not to mention this is intended for "everyone" to get so lvl 1's in Ascalon would be wielding max swords, axes, ect. Its the same reason hats don't have AR, a gift and something fun to have, nothing more.

I think we could get some of them buffed up a bit, maybe stronger ones for more collectors items... but we will just have to see. We could always get pre-customized ones like seasonal armor, but I hate that restriction sooo....

Anywho, I can't wait for winterfest again, need to re-stock on CCs and the arena game was great fun.

They're not meant to be useful, they're meant to be fun. Look at the Banana Scythe; 10-10 dmg, but one of my favorite weapons to date because of the hilarious skin.

They are fine. This game seriously doesn't need max damage candy weapons that people use around the year.

You are kidding, right?

These weapons are the best! Anyone can use them (no req.), they look great and they're flat out fun! I have a lvl 20 ele who still uses her candy cane wand on occasion (right now she's carrying the peppermint shield

) -- and have a couple bows on hand as well.

Which reminds me, it's nearly time to pull out the gingerbread shield for autumn adventuring
