I wonder if they'll have a different emotion for the pumpkin crowns each year.. that way everyone will have pumpkin crowns (so they won't complain) but then you can know the different years and such... just a thought

That was my record for district hopping. Between 2 accounts, I managed to get 4 pumpkin crowns and 1 witches hat. (The second account doesn't have nightfall). Can anyone confirm that the mad king comes every 3 hours and not 2 hours? It sure would be nice it if was two hours so that I could get hats for all of my characters.

Mad King Thorn makes appearances every three hours through the day in Lion's Arch and Kamadan. His first appearance will take place at 12:01 a.m. PST and his final appearance will begin on Wednesday, November 1 at 12:01 a.m. PST.

I want to try district hopping, to get more characters done, but im wondering how possible that will be, anyone know when its best to hit each district?

The event is great, but it seriously pisses me off when people click on him for ages and he doesn't do anythink. I wish anet would make it that nothing would happen if you click on him becuz right now im in a town where people won't stop clicking on him T__T

Wait, so if I just idle inside the circle when he shows up, do I still get one? :s I'm not gonna be home at any of the times he's comming. I'm eastern time so it's 3:01, 6:01, 9:01....

If I miss I'm gonna be mad. They should have him come for more than one day so that those of us who actually have stuff to do can participate too.

Grrrr. Cause even if I idle to get a hat, I don't get to play the games.

If anyone does not want to wait around every 3 hours to get both. Just start in Nightfall and move to LA as soon as you get your witches hat. It has worked for two of chara. so far.

You can get Transmogrifier Tonic by playing the king's niftly little games. By the way, is it possible to get a crown for one char, then quickly hop on to another to try and get it for that character too?

in the dragon festival the emporer used to move through the districts so u could jump into one and it would just be starting because there were so many. Does anyone kno/ remember which way he moved Last district up or first district down?

Is it possible to dye the witch hat? Cause I primarily use one character and have both the hat and the pumpkin helm. I'm thinking what if I put my hat in storage, I may be able to get another one. If so, then another and another. I can have a set of different colors. Is this possible?

The hat doesn't dye. Also, warlock hat is brown, witch hat is black.

Great, if I had know that idling would work, I could have left my computer on at home. Never participated in an event like this before....

Ah well. I will have one last chance when I get home from work so will set it up then.

Hopefully I'll get something (I did try to participate whislt at work but it slowed my computer down too much and for some reason everybody arrived in the office really early so I didn't get to play - was still downloading when the first people arrived - I normally would have had 2 hours on my own!)
