The new inscriptions are not really meant for transfer - they are there to "block out" the other inscriptions that are available, much like in Prophecies and Factions.
In other words, it was impossible to have a 15>50 sword that was precious or highly salvageable in the previous chapters. This makes that exclusion also apply in Nightfall.

Rolling the same heroway teams over and over gets boring quick. Has nothing to do with being hard to play.

At the expense of sounding like a tard or something.. With the new inscriptions, do you leave the inscription IN and either salvage for materials, or sell to the merchant depending on the inscription to get the Highly Salvagable or Precious effect? I haven't got to test any of this yet and would like to have a better idea on exactly how they work before I mess something up.
If you have to have the inscription in to get the effect I suppose it would be a good idea to pull them out of crappy low level blues and stick them into higher level items for greater effect. On the other hand it, would be awesome to be able to pull them out of an item and if it didnt destroy the item still have it effected so that the inscription could be reusable.
Edit: Thanks for the info Ebony.. Hopefully I can salvage some of those ruby dagger and jeweled items to get gems for that Vabbian armor I want for my Dervish.

never feel stupid for asking a perfectly legit question. others might want to know the answer too.
anyway, yes you have to have the mod equipped to get the effect, it doesnt remain if you remove it. show me the money adds about 100g to the item its equipped tos value. if u remove it, that extra value gets removed too.
the highly salvageable one will get destroyed when you salvage for materials.

stop complaining and start thinking
If Anet would not have improved the AI people would still be farming like the good old days. Now if you all recall the intention of the game is to re-create or re-invent your strategy that's why your limited to 8 SKILLS. This is not WoW which is pure grinding chars to lvl +60 get the best items and become UBER!!. If you do not like the AI modification then go play some other game. No one is making you play the game, get your your lazy chair and do something else. Yes! i will agree that having the monks run around makes things a bit more tidious, but i love having to come up with new ways to overcome obstacles. If you do not want the AI running around, why don't you just sit there and take a beating the next time 8 or more NPC's come at you. Instead of running around the map, complaining to the monks why they do a crappy job at keeping you alive. Dam to many people complain without thinking.

Fixed a bug that allowed the skills “Rampage as One” and “Strike as One” to activate without a living pet.
|
I'm surprised no one's mentioned this yet. I suppose this is the temporary "nerf" of Rampage as One until ANet does one of their usual skill overhauls. At least standard teams can have a fairly decent strategy for dealing with thumpers now, although RaO is still pretty rapesauce.

Only thing is - It still doesn't require a pet lol.
One of Anets many "Opps, We forgot to actually add the code to the game"
Even if you did need a pet - Not that huge of a thing...

Well, it does say a living pet is required to use it. True, this is still not a big nerf, but it does offer teams some options in dealing with thumpers. However, if they havn't actually implemented the code for this, I guess this point is indeed moot .
