That's funny, since most anti-PuG players love guild teams. If they weren't team players, how could that be possible?
Extreme overstatement? Heroes follow directions. PuGs do not. Heroes bring the right builds. PuGs do not. Neither the PuGs nor the Heroes really know how to use their skills, so they're equal in that regard. PuGs spam team chat with useless, annoying bull**** and draw stupid immature pictures on your minimap. Heroes do not. PuGs need to be found and assembled. Heroes are always with you, a click away.
This isn't just my personal opinion, this is the opinion of ... how many people on these forums? Anyone care to count?
Tolerance of incompetence fosters the low-quality player base that GW has today. You think the top guilds got to where they are by tolerating "annoying people [and] poor players"? And yet, would you say they aren't team players? Wouldn't it be more accurate to say that they are actually the *best* team players?
