Anet like's to mix PvE and PvP and this is their way of keeping both sides even on the battlefield.

Is there any reason now to use PvE characters in PvP ?

Well, I'm going to be watching a football game on Saturday.

I am enjoying Nightfall and like it a lot better than Factions.

Don't have any problem with the 3x green weekend. But would like to know the real reason they seem to be so against farming. I think there could be better ways to fix it than to turn it off alltogether. If I get some greens this weekend fine, my hero's could use them or I'll sell them. Perhaps I'll find something new and different that everyone will want. I can't believe there aren't a few suprizes out there in Elona. As a matter of fact wouldn't it fry everyone if there were some special items out there just for this weekend.

Actually I was hoping for another capping weekend.

Anet could easily nerf protective spirit or put in more enchant removing nightmares or make npcs in these farming places more aggresively attack if only 1 or 2 players without heroes or hench are in that area. This could have been done a long time ago. Or even change the way runes work, one simple change and no more using runes to 55 or things of that nature.

But yes I guess there is no way for AI-Anet to stop only solo or dual farming instead they have to nerf all farming in all forms, and nerf alot of fun in the process. They have nerfed farming, and continue each update to do so.

And why do we need a special weekend to get Ok drops, when we should be getting Ok drops in the first place.

If you read this whole reply here you could see how easy it would be for Anet to change a few simple things to nerf Only Solo and Duo but yet it is not done, instead changes are made that nerf all farming. And just what is wrong with Solo or Duo farming? No matter how much we farm or dont farm, I can guarantee the botters and ebayfarmers will still be selling gold and still finding ways to farm in one form or another while regular farming is nerfed with more fun being nerfed as well for regular players.

I would put more priority first in helping new gamers get the gear they need, before helping experienced farmers make that extra 40k.

Drop more greens. Make the triple green drop event a week or two long.

*sigh*, I can't find any greens I happen want on guildwiki.

I had Suli's scythe drop while doing the main story so there is my zealous scythe. I used a hench team and got one I can not even come close to spelling correctly (Esebehts or something like that - +30 vampiric scythe). I have the bonus pack scythe also. There is my three weapon slots (fourth is a longbow for pulling).

I also had a nice gold spear and a purple shield from chests that my Paragon uses. I would rather have a low req gold in the stats I want than a green anyway.

All my other characters are old and already have their items.

Ah well, I'll find something I want to try for if for nothing more than my heroes equipping them. I can probably use an axe or shield from somewhere. It's hard to find better wands/foci than the ones you can craft at the end of the luxon/kurzic areas so not terribly interested in them. Not that I'm complaining, triple greens is a nice thing, I really wish I had just waited a bit before trying to get the vampiric green scythe.

I've gotten so used to missing out on special weeked events that this doesn't phase me anymore. lol (Even if collecting greens is one of the things I really enjoy in my spare time).

I agree with everyone who mentioned that this "green event" came a bit early for a chapter that just came out less than a month ago. But it's cool; the only real event I'm looking forward to is Wintersday.

I have the greens I NEED just now so if any do drop for me then yay to me!

I will just play as normal and see how it goes!

As for the farming bit, I still farm when I need money but I seem to be earning money quite easily in NF? Not farmed for a while, but then again I have not spent a lot of money out on other armours yet!

I'm just waiting for their 5x chance of a max rare dropping weekend!

If so, how did I farm on Sunday to buy a black dye? I must have imagined it.

Also I thought "green farmers" would be complaining about the collector items towards the end of Nightfall, since alot of them either have green stats, or are two mods away from being one.

I guess they didn't get that far yet.

Oh on a side note my guildmate got 2 greens in Elona in a week. Just us two and 6 hero's, must be the lucky title.

How about a Quadruple gemstone weekend first so we can get some decent armour?? In the 1.5 odd years Ive played this game Ive only had 1 x ruby drop, and none in Nightfall so far.

^_^ everyone seems to be complaining about not being able to get weapons/runes for their heroes. Heres your weapons.

Greens should always be the cheap but effective alternative. And theres some cute greens in Elona.

it doesnt matter making them drop tons now as they will all be worth nothing in a month or so time. just gota look at all those proph and factions greens worth nothing.

doesnt make any difference to me as i dont use greens and never will

if it helps people get nice greens so they dont need to farm tons then it is a good thing. if people want to buy expensive l337 stuff then buy golds.

There are bosses that drop decent greens that are available as soon as you get to the mainland, which even the most casual NF player should have hit by now.

We don't need to wait for every duck to cross the line.

Well, with the release of insignias + weapon mods, greens just aren't what they used to be. You can totally mod an elonian weapon to match the stats of almost any green out there now.

For this to have an effect on prices the greens have to drop in the first place and since the odds are about 20,000 to 1 of geting one. 3x is not going to make a lot of difference. I killed 50 bosses the other day in elona and the grand total of drops was 67 gold and a blue spear 11-22 with +10 vs hexed foes. I can get better results from farming charr.
