Snares and/or water hexes now a "must have" item? Kinda sucks when youre practically forced to reserve a skill slot for some kind of snare.

There is nothing wrong with the enemy running away, learn to switch targets if something runs away. There is not a single enemy monk in the whole game that can out heal a full group of heros and henchies hitting a target. This is not PvP it is PvE where monks don't have to be your first target. If the monk or mesmer wants to run away then let him, just beat on his friends and he will eventually come back and end up standing around to take his beating too. There is no problem here.
