Anet
Does Anet seem to be dissapointing you lately? I mean with UW nerf and the Spirit Bond nerf. You can't forget about the AI thing. Then, with Razah not being variable profession. After that you have DoA which I like the elite part but 100 gemstones worth 40k each for a gold weapon thats has okay inscrptions. Plus DoA is a grind the entire way in a game that's goal is to get away from grinding game styles. Lastly, the skills and upgrades in NF in my opinion seem mediocre at best. I mean i don't want a flame but I want to honestly know if Guild Wars is letting you down. I know it is for me. I want to know if it's just me or if it's everyone. I mean I'll still play it but not with the heart I used to.
(please dont say OMG STFU you noob GUILD WARS PWNZ NO RANTS!!!! i want you honest opinion.)

I understand you might feel let down, and I won't say you shouldn't. Personally, I love all the new changes (except the part about Razah not being truly "variable"). Anet has a diverse group of players, and they can't please everyone with each new update, expansion, and change. RoT and DoA are clearly areas for "hardcore" PvE players, and it's been a long time since that type of players has got any content from Anet. The Deep and Urgoz Warden might have been elite missions, but they weren't hardcore. If you're not a hardcore player, and don't want to grind for 100 gems for a new skin weapon don't do it, wait for a more casual elite area, and go back and do UW, FoW, SF, Deep, and Urgoz in the meantime. DoA is going to keep me busy for months so I'm definitely not feeling let down.

One problem here with not wanting to grind is that currently, if you want a Ritualist hero, you have to get the four gems for Razah. There's a thread approaching ten pages on it in Sardelac, so I won't go into details here, but it does make it harder to take the 'meh, it's not meant for mere mortals' approach - there is something in there that's more than just a vanity item as in the other elite areas.

And people said that I was wrong in saying there were too many complaint threads popping up. Must be the same ones complaining.
Sorry, but I keep seeing the same old threads complaining about basically the same old stuff. And it's not even legitimate stuff. "Nerfs" will happen whether you like them or not. Dont play any MMO if you cant handle change.
The "Anyone Else Bored" thread was recently closed. Do we really need another version of it again?

Not at all. I've greatly enjoyed the new missions. The setting is something uncommon for fantasy realms. I haven't spent much time in DoA, but that's because there's so much in the regular game that I haven't even touched.
I completely disagree with the idea that the new skills aren't useful. I think a lot of pvpers would argue that NF was a slight power creep; which isn't really a bad thing.

Well, guys, its funny to see such topic again.
I quite GW about 2 weeks ago and im happy with it. Last post here was in 'Boring' thread. I just logged here to read about maybe changes in GW, may be something new in GW. And you know what ? I can suggest that there is no any game improvements cause of such thread continueing to appear here.
Right now im playing WoW. Nad im really happy to play it. This game is not pushing me to do things i dont want to do (u know like playing PvP when i want to farm; farming when i want to pvp(like anets events ); rushing through game to make money profit, cause i know, later possibilities of making money will be nerfed; and many other things). Lets say PvE in WoW 100% better than GW. About PvP: Have you seen masive PvP battles in WoW like 40*40 ppl ? Normal 1*1 duels ? Guys it's amaising, its thing anet will never make cause of their weak servers and game mechanics.
WoW IS better. The only thing that makes ppl not to think so is that GW dopnt require monthly payment. BUT !!!
U can make some calculations: buying GW chapters every 6 month and buying WoW+time cards almost the same thing ). Make your choise. I'v made mine and i am not going to back GW to be dissapointed in everything again )
Peace. Cya.

No, I still think Guild Wars is the absolute best no-monthly-fee online multiplayer rpg available.
I still LOVE playing some of my fav Prophicies missions. As much fun as UW, or DoA, or whatever is, I still haven't found anything as much fun as monking THK pugs.
EDIT: WoW Sucks.

I love complaining about shit. I also love NerfNet. Bring the two together and: I love complaining about NerfNet.
I'm always gonna play Guild Wars. If NerfNet wants to make Assassins outrageously overpowered, so be it. If NerfNet wants to make a "variable" hero a Ritualist, so be it. I'm going to complain no matter what they do.
In the end, though, NerfNet makes an awsome game. Kudos to you, ♥A.Net♥

Don't compare GW to WoW. I've played both, and while WoW may be more appealing to the totally die-hard, raid-6-hours-every-night player, the games are simply too different to be compared.
Guild Wars: Very casual player friendly. You don't need to play practically all day to be among the top players, you don't need to be in a guild with nightly schedules to even see the end-game content, and last but definitely not least - there's an actual storyline and a real feeling of being part of something.
World of Warcraft: More longevity, better rewards for full commitment (aka addiction), vastly larger playerbase, much deeper character customization. Full commitment required to experience a large portion of the game. The game is 100% based on grinding, it's practically the theme of WoW.
The two games are very different and you can fully expect one of the world's largest, oldest and most established gaming company (Blizzard) with hundreds of thousands of customers paying every month to make a game that might appeal to a larger crowd. If you paid every month to play GW then you could start making fair comparisons.

Your GW account does not close if you don't buy the next chapter.

I've felt that way recently which is sad since i've been around from the beginning but over all I still enjoy GW.. it just seems to be getting a little messy (with all the random new things) *shrug* But I'll continue to play it (and enjoy it) untill something else comes along.. Like maybe Spellborn >.>

Not really ^^ I farm a bit, but I don't really care if they nerf farming, because there's always other ways to make money. I don't notice anything significantly bad about the AI since farming isn't that essential to me. Also, if I do farm now, I either farm bosses, or I farm ranged mobs. If they nerf that, I'll go find some other method.
Razah is a bit disappointing though, especially since he is still incredibly hard to get compared to the other heroes. I do agree with a lot of players that they should just move him to another easier end game quest, and replace the hero that you'd get through the quest with something that's functionally the same as any of the other heroes, but looks really really cool or something.
As for the DoA weapons, if you don't like them or find it too hard to get, then don't get it. All it offers is a skin upgrade, so if it doesn't seem worth your time, then why are you even bothering to get it? Anet gives you a choice, you're not forced to farm 100 gemstones in order to play the game as well as somebody who does have the DoA weapon. DoA really isn't grind to me. Grind to me is killing 1,000,000 seals to get a level up, when all you do is click the attack button and move onto the next closest seal when you're done. I find the combat in DoA long and hard, but also exciting at the same time.
Regarding skills, personally I feel that the new skills are vastly improved over what we got in Factions. For the most part, my skillbar barely changed with my prophecies characters. Most of the Factions skills were either extremely limited in use, or just plain sucked. Nightfall has most of my characters experimenting with new skills and build combinations, so to me, its a big success in terms of skills.

The recent messes we been having is disappointing sure, however, it doesn't stop me from enjoying GW for the most part.
It seems the farming/gold use is on a different path to playing the game = gold, not soloing 20 mobs at once. I can understand the path, however do not like being denied the original grind that could be done for fun, and decent gold. (i came from a grinding game where if you didn't play everyday, all day, for about a year you couldnt enjoy the full game - yes i am nuts)
Farming is one thing but, armor insignas is a joke. Its stupid, and promotes gold abuse JUST to get SIMPLE armor with stats of your choosing. lame much?
Inscriptions are ok.
Razah....we got topics around to see what the problem is with him.
I'd add one thing not many if any.... have mentioned: what happened to the quality of graphics gw had? alot of new weapons look like pasted pictures- i mean wtf? armors too, look blurly, base colors bleed out - most notably dervish armor for crying out loud... its low quality, and its very disappointing compared to past made weapons/armors.

The only thing that bothers me is the AI, and the lack of reponse to the issue... the rest is goldem IMO. Sure, I'll probably never find enough friends to get all of DoA done, but it's not like I'm missing too much. It was a free update anyways.
