actually you said anet intended for there to be 8 ppl. when in fact it is still optional on the number. which means anet meant for how many you wanted to take.

Been said before...
Dolyak Signet will prevent the knockdown from Meteor Shower.
You can walk out of the blast radius.
Another thing you can do is run in and let the terrorwebs trigger their Meteor Shower, run out wait for the spell to end and then run back in.
Still Dolyak seems to be the best choice here.
