Paypal or not?
Does anyone know if Guild Wars is going to have a Paypal based payment for extra character slots and whatever else you buy at the login screen? If so, is your information concrete or rumor? I'd sure appreciate knowing this since I don't have a credit card. I am willing to buy 3-5 extra character slots but I just can't.

I'm not sure if they're going to institute Paypal or not but one solution that you could do is get one of those Visa/Mastercard/American Express credit card giftcards and use one of those since they work just like a real credit card.

It says in there how woud you like to be billed Credit Card or Bill Mailed to you.I would go for the Bill Me method if you don't have credit card and then pay it at the bank.I am not sure if they would consider Pay Pal as it is a part of eBay.

Or a debit card linked to a bank account.

This wouldn't work in the USA or Canada if that is where the OP is from.

It does work in USA as that is how I paid for Nightfall in the online store. Typical debit cards are accepted just like credit cards.

some banks will issue a single use credit card as well if you have any sort of acct with them, there may however be a small fee involved. the advantage of this though is that you can use it safely anywhere online as it cannot be used again.

No. CC just makes the payment instant.

When you all brought GW there was a credit card type card in the box that had your game key on it. Why not produce these cards with a key to get a extra character slot and release them so people can buy them over the counter.
Don't forget that there are a large proportion of the GW community under the legal age in their countries that are not allowed credit cards. This would make it easier for any player to buy those online shop products, and the way accounts are already setup it should be easy enough to add a key for the extra product to a account. After all with Nightfalls pre-release there was a extra character slot that you added a key to your account to obtain.

I am still supprised that a non-online store method for extra slots has not been done.

From Canada, no. US, yes.
I work at retail store right near the border, most American's debit cards are also a "credit" card. This is to avoid debit fees when paying for an item. Canadian debit cards do not have this feature and thus could not be used in this type of situation.
