This weekend, all chests located in Elona will have a doubled chance of dropping rare items. And, the drop rate for all Elonian keys will triple, too! Join us starting at Noon PST on Friday, and enjoy the extra goodies through Sunday at 11:59 p.m. PST.

Now I only hope the definition of rare is a more likely chance of a Colossal Scimitar / Elemental Sword drop

Rare in terms of more gold drops. Elonian = everywhere in Elona, including RoT.

I sense a disturbance in the force.. I sense thousands of farmers going into overdrive. Large amounts of jolt cola being stockpiled and many many cups of coffee being consumed this weekend.

Engaging Kournan Key buying frenzy!!

*lol* I've gotten 4 gold Whalekin Wands from Kourna in the last week. I hope the quality of gold drops improves. I'll be makin' some Vabbi and Southern Shiverpeaks runs too. I never seem to find many chests in the Shiverpeaks. When I do I always get mobbed and die.

I really enjoyed the last chest drops event. Not because I spent the weekend farming madly, mind - rather because I treated it as a good excuse to go elite skill capping, and took along enough keys to make every chest a little Christmas.

...Come to think of it, that's exactly how I treated the double greens' drop weekend too. I'm noticing a pattern here.

Being fairly new to NF... i didn't know these were sought after.
I got a sundering dead sword of fortitude. 15>50, but only 29hp, so i sold it to the merchant.

yes Relm of Torment.. when they said Elona for the green drop weekend it included the realm of torment.

You did WHAT!?

They go for like, anywhere from 100k to 600k depending on the req!
Oh I feel your pain....

During this weekend, there's probably not much point in running DoA chests.
Those chests have 75% or higher chance of gold already, no point for doubling that chance.... might as well save me the 1.5k cost in keys.
The cheaper Margonite chests, Ancient Elonian, and Vabbi should be nice though.
I just got 10 purple marg chest in a row today, was kinda bummed out.
I find Ancient Elonian and Vabbi to have higher rate of rare than Margonite...

I feel your pain. I merched a Gold Ele sword before I knew what people will spend for them!. (They're butt-ugly IMHO)

hm, have already noticed drops getting better this week (got 5 golds in 3 days---only one good one, a rune).....and have already gotten keys this week, had never gotten any before in elona....
so hopefully this is a sign of good things to come

so will be looking for a few good wands and focii this weekend!!

Well..
I'm rather poor, and always have been, and since ive been saving for armor quite some time, only to be dissappointed about a nerf some time ago.
And i see this as a chance to finally boost myself up money wise, mabye 15k wont look so god damn far away after all...
currently i can afford 61 Ancient Elonians.
Should i buy the 61 and pray for the best?
Please feeback me, im new with chest running, and im poor... kinda.
