Yeah and whoever said you don't get purpled...grrr!!
At least if you get a good mod on one you can keep it for sure now.
EDIT: I saw someone selling Menzie's Influence green. O_o

I would rather wrestle shiro than do this lol. I do admit it is not what i expected. I can understand you get super cool rewards and i really like that part. Oh and hero primeval?not half bad.12 man would suit this better. I really dont feel like doing this right now. So im gonna do other things in my new 15k sunspear necro armor from beating the gameI might later today though.

You are being denied access because you don't want to put effort into trying to clear a tough area that is required to get the guy?!?
That makes no sense at all.
Seriously, this will just be more noobs whining about not getting what they want RIGHT now. Why does FoW cost so much? I want it NOW! etc etc No different. You don't NEED a Ritualist hero. You want to experiment with him, go unlock him through PvP.

We need such rewards for UW and FoW, so people will actually do all the quests and not just farm for ectos/shards/spider/forgemaster.
But really, wtf :P
I got myself a very good party, we had a strategy, and we were very happy! We go out of the portal, and get just torn apart by 1 group of Margonites... And one dude said 'wow you really don't know what youre doing, newbs' and left -_-
Why did I like heroes again and disliked overpowered AI?
Hmmm but it's kinda funny though :P No matter what I try it just doesn't work :P

Sacrificing fun for overbearing and frustrating challenge is always a mistake. Who knows, maybe a build will come out to make this a cakewalk in the future, but right now a lot of people are just frustrated.
I'm not a fan of creating "challenge" by simply pumping up mobs, giving them overpowered skills and spamming them all over the map. It feels bush league. It's something a newbie campaign creator in SC/WC3 for example would do. I hope they are at least monitoring this and gauging player reaction and will act accordingly in the future.
Right now most of the response I see are people who are simply not having fun in this area. I tend to agree with them. A.net could really stand to tone it down a bit and still keep the challenge, it just might take some creativity on their end. As of right now, there's nothing creative about how this place is setup.

I love these new quests... the accept button for this one read "Sure, what's so hard about an infinite horde of demons..." or something to that respect. Anyways, I ran into like 12 of these guys all using Touch of Agony and Dark Aura. My heroes died pretty fast.
Also, you can use Necrotic Traversal to sneak around but you won't get too far:

I don't really understand what the problem is with building another SF type expansion. Put in some good drops. Don't make it overly difficult (example: no more "everytime you block, dodge, or evade you take 50 damage" -- that is f'n BS if you are a ranger), everyone enjoys the heck out of it for five or six months, then we move on.
To this day I don't know of a single person that enjoys the Deep or Urzog's Warren. No one looks forward to going there. The drops are crummy, the maps are stupid and long. You have to have exactly the right mix of players to come close. And you can successfully spend one hour, die at the end and get nothing. While I am sure there are a few fools out there that enjoy that sort of thing, I don't know of any.
Sorrow's Furnace on the other hand was fun. Our guild still farms there. It is productive. You get stuff. You go to bed happy. It what a freaking GAME is supposed to be.
No more Anguish for me. It's another Deep mission. It's a waste.
|
Even though I cant claim to still farm SF you speak what my brain is thinking.

Exactly correct.
Too many game designers don't realize that "challenge" does not necessarily equal "hard", and that "hard" rarely equals "fun".

Do be aware, when I see comments like this, I ask QA to investigate and they are kind enough to oblige. Reading further down, it appears this wasn't a genuine bug, and that means I've just wasted a bunch of people's time -- people who could have been working on real bugs.
I don't mean to lay a guilt trip on you, but I will ask everyone to please not post this sort of thing, because it has harmful effects and negatively impacts our ability to improve the game. Ok? Thanks!
|
lol, sorry, I just posted something a guy told me in the game, and he told me that they were cleaning the area.
Sorry again, and I'm glad that you people are working on bugs, even if they quite doubtable.

Nice work
Maybe you could try this skill, may help alittle http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Mirror_of_Disenchantment, though with 10 second recharge on aura would be limited.
Guess that also rules out the A/me build, thanks for posting.

But don't you understand, this is the problem. "Making a Build that will..." What ends up happening everytime A-Net does something like this is that a handful of professions get screwed. No body wants the mesmer for this mission, no body wants the warrior for that one. ETC. ETC.
People start getting caught up in their builds, then some poor smuck from where-ever is left trying to get into a group after spending two months trying to beat the game. But he can't get picked up. Because he's not B/P. Because he's not SS. Because he's not whatever the new "fad" is for doing a tough mission. Because he dared to say, "Degen mesmer LFG." He forever stands groupless in the elite missions.

well you have two choices. you can either try the quest, or try to farm all the different kinds of gem as a rare drop. neither of which is particularly easy

Also, I despise PVP, I never touch it, so that suggestion was useless.

And so, GW became WoW..
It's the raiders vs. those who don't.
Seriously, even Blizzard themselves are moving AWAY from such extreme exclusion.
I am a bit amazed about such drasticity, because to me it's not what I was playing GW for.
But yah, joy is fleeting and ..Anguish.. doth linger.

Anet needs to fix this. Page what, 20? Well, from 20-31 its all rants with the exception of a few.
Why do we play games? To have fun.
What happens when we fight the first mob? We die.
Is dieing fun? No.
So we're not having fun.
I love Guild Wars too much to quit, but this DoA is seriously pissing me off.

I feel like guru is a place full of pathetic kids. Please, it's an ELITE area, if you die there, doesn't mean you suck, but just means that you're NOT ELITE
why have to complain about it? YOU DONT HAVE TO BEAT IT. There is nothing wrong with creating an area that takes you 100+ tries to beat it. Remember those who complain there's nothing to do after you beat the game?
Furstrated for the fact that you can't beat an ELITE area of a GAME? How can you live your pathetic life?
