If i remember correctly last year they rolled it out in the evening? (or am i confusing the quest npcs appearence with the appearence of decor of the towns? somebody correct me on that)
Its good to see players getting along for once in Lions Arch though
|
Events usually start at 12:01AM PST on that Day. That allows for the full amount of time that was announced. Which is what players expected.
But it didn't and there currently isn't an announcement from Gaile yet. But players are also used to them being late all the time. Which is why this thread isn't 10 pages long.
There were also a select few events that took off at 7:00AM and 3:00PM all PST time. But they extended the time. Since this event is 11 Days long, I don't think that they are pressed for time(yet).

Of course but lets remember this is not just an event being put in. The party feature could be rolled in alongside it much like observer mode was rolled in last years.
I can only think of the bugs adding such a feature could cause if a update fixing agro can turn Lions Arch into a desert....
I would prefer a bug free Wintersday

Well the counter on the guildwars site say 11 hours to go, but I saw other people post that it's starting in 3 hours, so I'm still confused as well!

Well they usually do put the start time up in GMT when they announce one, which they did not do for this event. Of course, most Americans have no idea what they are in relationship to GMT.
Also, the last several weekend events have started at 12pm local time for them, not 12am as had been common in the past. At any rate, it'll get here when it gets here.

Euro Dis 1 just had a huge conga after realising the update was not coming..now everyones on the boat getting drunk
I am pretty disappointed that the event did not happen at the predicted time...so many people gathered for nothing
Just a comment from Gaile would make me happy...we are being kept in the dark here.

What's that got to do with the price of eggs? On the English GW site it states that :-

They go by the PST time zone, meaning they have another 11 hours until the 20th is over. Plenty of time left to get the update in by today, for America at least. It will probably start when us in Europe are sleeping though.

Ok soo.. what does this have to do with anything?
The only thing about it, is the people that spend that much time online, dancing, cussing, causing a horrible and immature environment for everyone else that stay in that district for HOURS makes me sick.
