hi im looking to purchase one two copies of the same expansion, now im curious if i get nightfall, do i get access to the derv and para, AND assassin and rit? or is it only derv and para? also for peoples money wich expansion was the better of the two?

Prophecies: Core Professions ONLY
Factions: Core and Assassin and Ritualist ONLY
Nightfall: Core and Paragon and Dervish ONLY

Tyria (Prophecies) does not have Assassin and Ritualist and Paragon and Dervish.
Cantha (Factions) does not have Paragon and Dervish.
Elona (Nightfall) does not have Assassin and Ritualist.

No one plays Factions anymore. (Towns, Outposts, and Missions have 0 people there.)
ANet is probably never going to touch Factions anymore. (The only festival they ever held for Factions was the Dragon Festival, but it is doubtful they will do it again.)
Basically, Factions is a bad dream everyone wishes would just go away.

I think you'd better just go with Nightfall. It has everything new, better armor, heroes, and it will be updated more than Tyria and Cantha ever were combined.

Depends on the time of day. I usually find people there, and Kaineng always has people in it.

If you have Nightfall and you don't have Prophecies, and your friend has Prophecies but not Nightfall, then no. You two are in two seperate worlds.

Is this the right section for what you made this topic for? Isn't there a questioning area or something? Maybe this is it and I'm just wierd...

Well i can see his point, however he misses one vital point, that being asian based, the holidays are very different... and as both india and africa were, until recently in history, still under british reign (OUR TIME WILL COME AGAIN!!!), the holidays were shared aswell...

hence, Cantha not sharing the same holidays as Prophecies and Nightfall campaigns

thats because the idiots are mostly weeded out by then, I breezed through there the other day and saw people everywhere i went

No, Not at all... The chapter 1 team now have 2 chapters (and an update, namely Sorrows Furnace) under their belts, the chapter 2 team, have 1 chapter under their belts, thats it and remember, they are an off shoot of the chapter 1 team, so they are always gonna be a little lighter on things than chapter 1 team...

plus another good reason is that the chapter 1 team cover the christmas period now, so it stands to reason that they cover the halloween/christmas content! How the hell do you know if they haven't got something massive planned for summer from the chapter 2 guys? there aren't any big holidays/events to cover (hell, even Easter is Chapter 1 team covered)
