Default Best weapons are dropped?

Are the best weapons ( bows ) dropped -> upgraded, or can they be quested for / crafted from a collector? I use an inscribed max shortbow, but am wondering if there is anything better to look forward to, or if it's ho-hum for weaponry from here on out.

Same thing for armor?

Thanks!

Essentially, all max weapons and armor can be crafted cheaply. The 'best' weapons, by market standards, are those with rare skins that can be found later in the game as drops. They will, however, have the same maximum potential as any other perfect weapon, including those that are crafted.

Thanks for the info!

Well, that stinks that I have nothing to look forward to ( equipment wise ) on my Ranger. Guess I'll have to make something new after I finish the main plot.

Thanks again!

Heh, I normally don't make a new character unless I get a gold weapon drop that is a rare skin as well. I am a stickler for being one with a unique identity, especially when it comes to weaponry.

The game is designed to be as equal as possible between people with little play time and people who are online constantly - So you can get max-stat weapons very easy... but you still have the lure of rare skinned items and expensive vanity armors if thats your bag. Sure, you can get a max damage, req9 inscribed bow, but can you get a max damage, req8 inscribed bow with a skin you like? =D

I carry 3 bows and an Illiana staff as the weapons choices in my weapon slots F1-F4, for my ranger. I am into skins so I have a half moon short bow, req 8 15^50 of course, for when the baddies are close because of its faster fire rate shorter arrow flight and higher accuracy, I have a mursatt hornbow as my mid range weapon because of its slightly longer range and its inherent 20/20 armour peircing add, and I have a Zodiac for my long bow though in my collection I also have a storm bow (love the moving electicity in the skin) and an Urgoz long bow, what a great story and it goes great with my armour. I switch to the staff when I need a little extra energy to set traps. So... there is lots to look forward to. Best Regards and enjoy.
