Omg. Just realized that. How cheap can that be. But there's also something itching me. +2% morale boost... so that means in an 8 man party you get a total of +16% morale boost, hardly higher then a green CC. But still, recharge skills/work on whole party ftw.

Omg. Just realized. Imagine if your battling Mallyx... you could do an infinite amount of MS if you have enough CC's, and a BiP

But oddly Candy Cane Shards drop in Pres-Searing

Shame they have no purpose in Pre-Searing.

The shards are dropping in Factions as well, all good for those with multiple chapters - but the person(s) with only factions , annoyed at what it may have been.

I sort of understand pre-searing, but Factions? The event is not even in that chapter.

Anyway, having fun jumping from Tyria to Elona and back - with the occasional trip to Cantha. Those Treasure Chests, etc have been a boon to the bank and some pretty nice drops as well.

was reading aother thread..people saying they get loads from pre..so i made a new char and in 1 hour i got 3 :/
so i thought bugger thhat, i get more from doing the uw quest

and off i went in 10mins i got an easy 10 shards..3 frozen ectos

I found it really awkward.. Although I have all three chapters, I was playing Fort Aspenwood on the Luxon side, and I killed a Kurzick Ranger in the Kurzick base.. and a CC shard dropped..

Factions only people can go to the Great Temple of Balthazar, access the snowball arenas from there and craft candycane items in the staging area.

It's weird that Candy Cane Shards would drop in Cantha, yet the entire Wintersday event seems to have skipped Cantha. Oh well, I'm hoping the CCs have another use at the end.

That's a quote from the guild wars main site. Notice that the candy cane shards need to be contributed to effect the outcome of winter's day during the finale. We may use them for good or mischievious intent. Are the circles going to play a part in the event? They do show a duality. Will we have to "bet/contribute" with the shards and step into the circles ala the dragon festival?

And the thing that really makes me go hmm... "Besides, you never know what somebody might trade for these once the festivities come to a close." Perhaps this mean that unused shards will have a collector? Did Gaile mention that the first weekend of the new year will have a smaller, less signifigant event that we will love? Maybe these don't get used there, but they still hint that the shards can be traded. Maybe the rainbow cc maybe not... all guesses, but I haven't yet seen someone mention that the main site says that WILL the have a use AFTER the finale.

Hopefully people will organize in each district and agree on who will win, Dwanya or Grenth. That way you can choose which hat you want. Just check the districts for the one you want.

Lol, Gods I hope so! Last year was so nice and orderly, with few exceptions. Even Dwayna, Odd Grenth, agreed?
