I've been pretty vocal about problems with the game, but I'm pretty excited about the past few announcements. Many of us that have played since around the time of the original release have been wishing for a way to re-connect so we (I) am really greatful. I'm also glad that Tyria isn't being left out of Wintersday (memories) even though I have the other two. I am really glad to hear there will be some new way of storing all of my holiday hats (over many characters, some with a hat from every single event since release). This is all good news. I think they do seem to be listening to the players (at a point I felt it was pretty limited). I admit there are other thing si'd like fixed, but the re-connects show that they aren't just working on esoteric fixes. That is a major (and yes, much requested) feature that many of us have been waiting for. As far as the hats, I still look forward to the day that maybe they can be customized by account instead of character to cut down on the amount of storage youneed for them :-) It would be nice, though I don't know how hard or easy it would be for them to implement. Imagine, one Yule Cap that you can share between all your characters, no need for multiples, and no need to try and get all of your characters to the event on time :-) We all have pipe dreams, and the reality is that many of the people I talked to in and out of game really seem excited about the changes... good job. keep up the work... don't get complacent.. this is the stuff many of us like to see..

Fair enough. However ... it has been 19months and Anet has managed to crank out 3 chapters. Not to be argumentative but .. if Anet can come out with 2 complete games since chapter 1 >.< you guys couldn't spend a little time on a big problem for your loyal repeat customers? Almost everyone I know has more than one account because of the storage problem. Playing the log on log off shuffle to make room so you can play a character is a real issue for MANY of us. The storage updates (being kind)

while appreciated seem more like an attempt to pacify than to fix.

Instead of different accounts there's the option of buying character slots. Almost everyone I know DOESNT have more than one account. Storage is a problem but hardly a big problem, most of the people that I know are managing with only one account.

If I had to pick, I'd rather they work on making Chapters rather than work on extra storage. And it does sound like they are working on both. I'm appreciative of the storage updates even when you're not because they still do free up a lot of storage space. And even if it's just "an attempt to pacify" so what? At least they're trying.

you are right to say that u can buy extra character slots to gain space (thats what i'm doing as well).
however, this feature is available since the online store (i guess) and before that there was no other way to gain an extra character slot than by buying a new account (which many people did, since i know many of those as well)

Now don't get me wrong, if this update is pulled of succesfully then I will forget about mallyx.

P.S. i like that idea about where you type in /hat and you get a menu that shows you the hats unlocked on you account.

Believe me, it's so much harder adding new features to already written code. If you start from scratch, you find a way to impliment it and have everything working with it. By adding it later as Anet are having to, they're having to find ways to squeeze things in and make sure they don't balls up other things around it. The harder/bigger the feature they're trying to add, the harder it gets. The fact they're trying is enough for me. Cheers.

All I can say, is that hats are my favorite part of these seasonal updates, I <3 them, and I'm sure im not the only one who thinks on these lines, so for the sake of us all, stop the maddness and lets give a big thank you to ANET. Thats what this season is all about, isn't it?

If you're that desperate for storage then yes, but I'd like more free storage as well. But that wasnt my point. My point was that instead of buying another account you could buy another slot instead, so you wouldnt have to do the account shuffle that the other guy was complaining about.

And I want to note that even if they can DOUBLE the xunlai storage box that we have, the people who have multiple accounts will STILL have to shuffle because obviously they have too much stuff and even the doubled storage box won't help much at all. For the less extreme like me, it will help tremendously. But you'll probably still see people complaining about storage because some people just have far too much stuff.

I heard we will get a 'Horadric Coathanger', which basically is an object you put in your inventory and you can drop armorpieces in it.

Hmm on second thought, lets not speculate anymore about it and just wait what the future holds for it. We can complain when it proves to be a useless update afterwards, or praise Anet for giving us such a splendid free update. Oh wait.... we will probably STILL complain INSPITE the splendid free update.

Well ty Anet for another usefull/useless update when it happens. Not saying that in a bad way. wouldnt want some people who act like they have stock in NCsoft to get riled up.. Now when i say its useful(extra storage of a sort) / useless(all our wonderfull holiday hats), thats what it exactly is.

Now for speculation part- hehe - it will be most likey like where you can toggle your helmets on and off. just a rabbit hunch i have.

Well for the most part people bought most of there second accounts long before the online offer was even thought off.

Uhhhhhh you don't log on and off to swap between accounts. You do it to swap between storage and mules to free up a char. Hence more mules from the online store won't help. 19 months without an upgrade to the box ... sorry but that original storage was meant for CHAPTER ONE we are on CHAPTER THREE with the ORIGINAL storage box. I get the sense you will want to debate it anyway.

What's to debate? We both would like more storage. But the difference is that you make it sound like Anet isnt doing anything about it and are wasting time doing other things instead. And storage is hardly an urgent problem unless you're hoarding tons of useless junk.
