My opinions are:

Prophecies : Excellent storyline; engulfing core game[/B]

Factions: Personally I thought the PvE element of the game was terrible. I didn't like the scenary. There was no pleasure in looking at an environmental-disasted, not to mention the caustrophobic feeling off the mainland. Storyline was OK;but too typical. Whole 'evil guy wants to take over world' thing. Only good aspect that factions brought was the classes and Alliance battles. On a side note; I don't see why they made assasins for factions. The environment they have to play through 70% of the time is too cramped to be stealthed. It's not like we can drop from the sky like the 'Am Fah'.

Nightfall: Not much too say. Superb as of reaching 'The Desolation'. Extraordinary storyline. Love the new 'invasion' type missions; eg-'Consulate Docks'. My only flaw with Nightfall is the fact you need to equip heroes with runes/insignias/inscriptions/weapons/mods ect ect. Nightfall would be MUCH more fun if you didn't have to consantly worry about the future of the Heroes. A suggestion of mine is to give the player a choice from a Plain Skinned weapon, shield/focus upon level 20-and it should give the player a choice to choose the mods/inscriptions(A player is able to change these if he wants to customise his hero). About armor-I suggest make more ways to earn Hero points, and allow the spending of these on insignias/runes for Heroes armor.

Theres my points. Comments would be really appreciated.

Thanks (=

Personally, factions was my favorite. I didnt like needing to spend about a week or so JUST so I could hit lvl 20, and not even have a max weapon at that point. The great things about factions was that A) I really liked Fort Aspenwood and ABs, the whole concept of mass pvp was awesome, plus actually being able to use siege turtles (as opposed to gayla hatchery, where you kill everything first, then the turtles make their slllooowwwww way to the end unobstructed) was friggin awesome. B) The sin, is, in my opinion, the funnest class there is currently out. Yes, it requires some skill, and you cant have your small child sit there hitting number keys and manageing to still kill people (like it seems with most wammos), but, overall, the sin was awesome imho. C) I really liked the rewards at the end of the storyline, and the fact that beating the storyline didnt require a couple weeks of doing notheing else. With a game of a level cap of 20, it dosent make sense to have a storyline spanning a couple months of playing, and factions really catered to that option. If I was going to spend a couple months getting a char to the endgame pve areas, I would at LEAST want to be able to have the incentive of getting more powerfull from it and not "omg! mebeh if I f4rm for 40 days straight, I might get a crystalline sword that I can sell!!!!!!111eleven!!!!!1!" Yes, proph was good, and NF was good...but if I had to choose only one to own, I would go with factions.

And as to weither campaign 4 will be good/bad...you really cant know, as the factions team has only had about 1 chance, and the NF team, contrary to what some here seem to think, did NOT make proph on their own...it was made by half the factions team, half the NF team, and the missing halves were hired after Anet decided "Hey, we can roll out a lot more games if we split up our dev teams!"

I got Nightfall first, and then the two others, so my opinion is probably different from those who played the chapters in the correct order. Here's my thoughts, though:

Nightfall: Excellent game, the storyline was fine (although not amazing) and I felt much more freedom in regards to items, how to play the game, and what style of gameplay I had available. The last portion of the game was a big leap in difficulty, going from not-so-difficult and directly to extreme the first time I got to RoT. Once you learn the ropes it's fine, but it was really quite a shock going from Vabbi/Desolation to RoT.

Factions: I liked the beginning (Shing Jea Island) and the terrain, nice pace and decent quests. A bit fast leveling, but that was actually refreshing the first time I went through. This later became a flaw in my opinion, since it felt like you were rushed past low/mid-levels and a new player probably wouldn't have enough time to learn all they should before facing real challenges. I absolutely hated the Kaineng City area and surrounding slum-themed scenery. I think it was annoying, boring, monotonous and something I couldn't wait to get done with. The storyline is so-so, not terrible but not as good as Nightfall. The two professions were a bit below-average compared to the rest (including NF's). After going through NF, the old (new to me) armor system was very annoying.

Prophecies: I must admit I haven't had the energy to get far into Prophecies. After playing NF and F, the pace was just so slow and I don't think I can adapt to the extremely slow leveling and story progress. Once my current character finished NF and F I'll try to take him through P, skipping the beginning since he's not a Tyrian character.

Call me weird, but my favorite campaign is factions...

I really don't like prophecies much at all, and nightfall is good, just not as good as factions imo

hmm I think I can give some sort of an answer to that (hopefully one would be useful to you) but the way I see, Factions is essentially based off of a war, and the assassins would be using Guerrilla Tactics as has been used in many wars here in the real world. Like Guerrilla's assassins would pop from out of nowhere and attack/kill the enemy troops, their enemy would not be expecting a thing due to the Guerrilla's use of the environment and various disguises, but since they can't incorporate use of environment and disguise into the game *atleast I think not* they just had the Assassins use shadow steps as their form of surprise.. it works pretty well considering the game is set in roughly 80% of dense areas with alot of cover, an assassin or Guerrilla's perfect place to fight. Hope this has helped.

You gave very good points Kijak.

I agree with you about Shadow Stepping, but it needs to be buffed back up. You should still be able to Shadow Step from high cliff>low cliff & around the side of a wall>the other side.

WHA? they changed it to where I can't Shadow step up and down cliffs? WTF? I didn't notice that! *cries* I loved sitting up on the AB hills and then popping down and ganking people and popping back up to safety. *petitions for unnerf of shadow steps* now the around the wall thing might not be so realistic because it was said before that the assassin has to see where they are going in order to teleport there. I think that also is something that is often accurate with some of the larger fantasy type writings and such, like in X-Men the character Nightcrawler needs to be able to visualize where he is going, he did overcome this barrier, but it took some work on his part.
