That's exactly what I thought after about my first 2 minutes of trying to get the presents. At the very least, they could make it so that when one present is picked up, another spawns somewhere. That would also eliminate the problem of people taking presents "hostage".

And that would fix the anoying campers. At the very least, they could make it like the Dragon Festival present spawning, where the presents can spawn in at least 15 different places, instead of how it is where they only spawn in about 5.

Doing either, or both of those things would make this part of the event so much better.

And stop talking about the Scrappy person. If ArenaNet finds out, they might "fix" it and make him give away shards too! Or maybe they will change all of the children to give out presents! Although the first is more likely...

There are still active place, some even have nice people. I had some one share a spawn spot with me. We took turn to grab the present. That's the wintersday spirit.
Interesting that first you are against someone "sharing" information about Scrappy but are very in favor of someone "sharing" a spawn point as long as you benifit from it.

also the fact that the info about Scrappy was posted on wiki yesterday doesn't really make it top secret...

Candy shards, Eggnog, etc. (The stuff you get from collectors)

Anyhow, I didn't bother with the present things this year because it is easier to just farm the newbie mobs.

Ah, it's folks like this that really hammer home that holiday spirit! Locked down dist 12 in LA for at least 3 hours and drove everyone out because the presents would spawn.

Started out on the platform in the northeast corner of LA and then after people went out farming, ran to hide in that silly rock. As if CTRL key wouldn't see her. Obviously knows that she's locking down a district and obviously doesn't care. Hey Anet...how about a little ban action?

I wish they would do something about it....running presents isn't worth it for the CC shards imo. They should make all "young child" give you presents, in which you can get cc shards or other stuff from them. >.< Just opening the presents and having the surprise of getting something is really fun and brings the spirit.

Maybe if there was a way Kimberly would come along and pelt them with snowballs until the present dropped, or until they died.

(waves hello to King Kryton)

Why not free the Grentchies. Whenever they get stuck, I always double click on each one of them making them unstuck.

Well the information was already out there no need to tell everyone. comeon its a glitch we al know it. If you didn't know your no better then the newbs (I mean new players) spamming to find out where coal is (and then crying cause you did the quest but they didn't give you an 'Item')
GW wiki is there for a reason use it

The 3 districts I've been in so far have all had a sharing policy, including the one I released the grentches into.... why because one person wasn't sharing. So I un-glitched the grentches, lucky they didn't know how to get them stuck again. Someone else did that job, but for the next 5hrs Dist12 shared spawn points and presents. And a really cool chat convo atmosphere!
I even let the newbs know about Scappy Jhim in general so they wouldn't miss out.

Since then I've also released the grentches in several districts to even the playing field. mawahahahaha

I agree with the idea that if you hold the present over certain time period, it should explode or disappear and get respawn again.

the dist I was in the morning was almost completely empty and with the grenths stuck I was able to get 125 gifts -----felt more like the UPS man today..... only had problems with the ones that spawn at magi and behind the guild guy....and the run from storage is just a bit long! but without the grenths it was nice to get the packages there! scrappy should have a stack behind him miles high now!

have only got 29 p candy canes from my 175 gifts I have opened, but it replenishes the few I used during the year---------------now back to gargoyle hunting!

DynaBlue and KingKryton have a great holiday spirit. It was a pleasure just being in the same district with them the other day. And much thanks, still, to Dyna for sharing the present with me when I was on my monk. (monastic terrorist) That's not something you usually see much of.
