Europe and the favor wars
Ok firt i want to point out that im american and i play on american servers, and i am in no way tring to flame. But i realise, like most other pve'ers that we can rarely go ito the fow/uw because europe always haz favor. now that brings me to the queston how. is europe just better than us? do they use different builds/ strats? or is it just a matter the they are just better/ were not as good? can somebody give me insight into this?

In my experiences, europeans have been more focused in HA, They also have less "Leeroys". That said, I wonder if it has to do with cultural differences.

I'm willing to bet that HA is just more popular to europeans than to americans.

Like Puddingbroodje said, a couple of months back America held favor for most of the day. Now the tables have turned.
The reason? Nobody really knows.
It could be that many Europeans went back to European server (there was quite a stream to US servers in the past).
It could be that US players moved to GvG.
It could be that EU players simply play more HA.
One also can notice the large amount of European guils on the GvG ladder. Maybe Euro's play more PvP.
Whatever the reason, I wouldn't look at it that the Euro's have 'superior strategy'. That's bs.

I dont care what the reason is. But to have pve access to uw/fow for minutes out of the day, is total bs.
I know this has been talked about ad nauseum, but anerf has still not wised up that whichever way the pvp wind blows should not restrict access to certain pve areas.
for real.......wth?

I'd argue that off-topic is more existing than on-topic. -.-
The whole favor idea is stupid, but I guess it forces some stubborn PvEers to lay PvP. Fresh fish.

Hello, I am from Europe - England, (currently in school).
It seems to me like people think that not that many American's play HA compared with Europeans, I do not really see how this works, I usually play International District HA and 4/6 people on my team are usually American, I do not know how many servers are open in American HA but in Europe there Most are empty usually I see 2 English and 3 or 4 German.

I'd guess that there are more pvp players on European servers if not more players in general. There also seems to be far less European "kiddies" playing and far more of the 18-30 age range. Age does make a difference too. When you play with adults you have more dedicated, better players, and people who don't leave to go eat dinner in the middle of a HA run.
Another possibility is that a lot of Americans play with Europeans. I've been in European pug teams that had me and another American in them. Lots of players play with players from other servers. I know this is true with GvG. My guild is American but close to half of our main players are in Europe. I also know plenty of Euro guilds that have American players.

It's already been mentioned that we don't exactly know why Europe is suddenly dominating the Hall of Heroes, key to enjoying the spoils of the Fissure of Woe and Underworld areas, but from my perspective, it really boils down to a much larger pool of players.
When I do enter Hero's Ascent I almost always find as many players in the International Districts as I do the American Districts. When I join PUGs, a good 7 times out of 10 it turns out to be a primarily European Team, since I go to International to find groups more often than I stick around in the American Servers.
Think about how large Europe is; the European servers encompass an arse of countries - I believe there is an English, Italian, French, German (perhaps), and one or two other servers (It's been a LOOOOONG time since I peeked into the European Servers) - so it makes sense that the player base may possibly be larger (to truly determine this we'd have to refer to census data for the whole of Western Europe vs. the US).
I am very much a PvE player, but enjoy wandering into PvP areas - which I've become very decently skilled in/at - such as HA to try and win favor for my region.
There are PLENTY, and I mean plenty of good American players. It's not about Europe being "omghaztotaldominationzLOL!!?!" Saying that a Region has strategy than another is bollocks, especially when we see American guilds reigning over the Hall of Heroes at times.
The one thing that I think will actually help out is if more Americans start playing more often (and perhaps being more cooperative, which means no rage-quitting if your team doesn't get the biggest morale boost and win favor the first time you go in). Doing your part isn't too hard; I don't mind working a bit so that I can enjoy things later. When America does take favor I see the same guild names over and over and over again. The same players going in and working their ways to the top.
There is no easy fix. It'll take some work, but favor can be had for the states.

I think that the europeans are benefitting from bad american attitudes.
People are turned of of HA because of the penchant for specific builds and rank discrimination.
So instead of playing HA, americans do other things.
