Ranger: Anger Lioneye
My first char created, I deleted her and when factions came out, made her again. The name I created myself. Lioneye I used for my Ranger in Neverwinter nights. Anger... well... don't know. It's Ranger minus the 'R'.

Ele: Blue Meteor
Wanted to make an fire ele. They were hot those times, so something with meteors would be fun I thought. Blue because red was taken

Monk: Mya Tattoo
Made for farming, finished all chaps with her now though (so easy to get groups as monk). Mya is a name from NWN name generator, and tattoo, well, thats her armor.

Necro: Akasha The Cruel
Akasha became my Nick. The name is taken from a movie. Akasha is a vampire there, so I thought it kinda fits for a necro. But there are so many Akashas out there....

Ritualist: The Worst Rit Ever
Guess I watch to much Simpsons.. Used to be Worst Ritualist Ever, but I got stuck at the start, where one npc, who gives a quest so u can continue, didn't appear. Deleted her, renamed, went in again. Then the npc did appear. yay.

Paragon: Dont Shout At Me
Guess it was made in a funny mood. Paras work with shouts, so I thought it funny to call her like that.

PVP: X Akasha X
Like i said, Akasha became my nick, now every pvp char is named like this.

- Adara Zalauster (mo): adara is a name from the belgariad books, Zalauster is a powerfull magician that appears in some songs of a spanish heavy metal group, Saurom.
- Nedra Zalauster (me): Nedra is a god from the belgariad an part of the name of a princess that also appears in those books, princess ce'nedra.
- Agatha Zalauster (n): i love that name, simply that.
- Edeara Borune (w): Borune is the surname of a very important family in... the belgariad books ^^, Ce'nedra is a borune. Edeara was just an invention.
- Nao Yoshizaki (a): i had no ideas for my assasin, so i search a name in a japannese porn site ><.
- Narya Thuledur (rt): Narya is one of the three elvish rings from LOTR (gandalf keeps it

), Thuledur i thinik is something like 'black spirit' in elvish.
- Taiba Uldoriel (r): Taiba is one of the belgariad characters, Uldoriel... UL is a god from the belgariad, -doriel is a nice ending

- Nyissia Uldoriel (r): Nyissia is a land from the... yes! the belgariad

- Saphira Uldoriel (me): i saw someone with the name of saphira and i liked it... some days after creating the char, someone told me that saphira was the name of eragon's dragon xD, is a nice name, remembers to sapphire, and that's good, isn't it?
- Shadiyah Aludra (p): i looked in google for arabic names, this one means 'virgin singer', great for a paragon.
- Yasirah Aludra (d): lenient virgin, i liked the sound of yasirah.
- Zahrah Aludra (e): Flower, beauty, star virgin.
- Yavanna Thinuviel (e): Yavanna is from the silmarillion, thinuviel is some kind of elvish and it's meaning is a kind of bird.
- Almorial Gallaghan (me): Was my first char, almorial is the name usually have my role characters, Gallaghan was the first surname i thought.

Dr Baz – Prophecies male monk hence the ‘Dr’ part, Baz being my nickname

When Factions came out I wanted a Rit named ‘Rite of Passage’ but someone beat me to it. Rit didn’t last more than a week though, (which I now regret).

Then four more Factions characters keeping the ‘Rite’ theme going

Female Warrior – Rite Of Pacifism
Female Ranger – Rite Of Nature
Female Monk – Rite of Healing
Female Nero – Rite of Nekros, (Latin)

Just one Nightfall character:

Female Ele - Rite of Terra (as in Terra Firma)

All PVP characters have the ‘Rite’ theme as well, ‘Rite Incompetent’, Im Always Rite, (named after my wife), etc………………

Jecht Scye - Necromancer(Prophecies)
I used the name Jecht from Final Fantasy X. I just thought the name sounded cool so I used it as the first name. As for Scye, it's recurrent in all of my character names.

Ryo Scye - Assassin(Factions)
Not many people have seen this anime since it's really, really old. But Ryo was the name I got from the main character in the show Ronin Warriors known as "Ryo of the Wildfire".

Draykana Scye - Elementalist(Prophecies)
I have no Idea how I came up with this name. It just sounded cool I guess.

Isaaru Scye - Ritualist(Factions)
Also from Final Fantasy X, Isaaru is a Summoner so I chose this name for my Ritualist.

Kayla Scye - Monk(Factions)
Kayla is the name I want for a little girl if I ever have one some day. I think it sounds pretty.

Kyata Scye - Mesmer(Factions)
Another one of those names I just thought sounded cool

Isoka Scye - Ranger(Nightfall)
Isoko is an African tribe. I added an "a" in the back to make it sound more feminine. This ranger was made as a Nightfall character.

Aeneas Scye - Paragon(Nightfall)
Named for the Roman Hero Aeneas.

Anansi Scye - Dervish(Nightfall)
Named for the African Trickster Anansi the Spider. If you'd like to know the story then just google it

Tasca Scye - Warrior(Prophecies)
Named for the explorer Tasca of whom is famous for the area in the southern shiverpeaks "Tasca's Demise".

Edea Scye - Necromancer(Prophecies)
I've never taken this character out of presearing yet, but she's named for the Sorceress and Matron in Final Fantasy 8.

I know I have a hella lot of character slots :P

Covert Anarchist - female warrior - (Prophecies) - my first char and named because I was always getting called that during my union rep days. She got deleted.

Morrigan Havenholme - female warrior - (Prophecies) - Morrigan for the Celtic goddess of battle, strife and fertility and Havenholme because I wanted something that sounded "dwarvish"

Cryogenic Fireball - female ele - (Factions) - Cryogenic for the Guild name and Fireball after my pyromaniacal tendancies

Also because I liked the juxtaposition of the 2; cryogenics - the physics of very low temperatures against fire.

Marsaili Sidheag - female ranger - (Nightfall) - Marsaili is the Scottish/Gaelic for "warlike" and Sidheag is the feminine for "Wolf"

When I first started, I didn't have a common name, but the wording had to do with the type of character. Soon I started putting Sage (older and wiser) in the names along with something to do with the character type:

Sage Mind Control - Mesmer
Sage Medicine Man - Monk
Sage of the Forces - Ele
Sage of Deadly Arts - Necro
Cursed Sage - Necro
Lady Sage of Combat - Warrior
There are a bunch more

I try to come up with nature or ancient gods related names. Currently I like using herbs and spices as parts of my character's names. It kind of ties them all together while still giving a unique name.

Ranger: Perynne Walker (Perynne is a twisted around version of peregrine, a bird of prey. Walker indicates her love of exploring)
Ritualist: Rosemary Marron (Rosemary's Baby, anyone? Also a type of spice)
Assassin: Tomie Pepper (Tomie from Junji Ito's horror manga of the same name, Pepper for spice)
Monk: Inanna Snowblood (Inanna is an ancient goddess, Snowblood is one part Snow White and one part Lady Snowblood)
Dervish: Cassia Amunet (Cassia is a type of spice, Amunet is a goddess)
Mesmer: Lumi Rin (Lumi is snow in finnish)

i should have been usernamed Vanguard, actually. CagedinSanity is a username i use on RTS/FPS forums.. Not exactly fitting for here.

For my prophecies characters i called them something with the name "Mcmullen" in and had a revelant prefix or a thingy at the end.
For my factions characters, i just stole the names from Korean footballers..
And for my Nightfall characters i just called them "Phil" but with a prefix (Just Phil and Unenthusiastic Phil)

Oh, and i called my PvP char "Some Beasty Guy" after being struck by a lack of creativity.

My first character was Durge Ironbreak, Durge is basically Dirge with a "u" instead of an "i" which makes it more name-like and a somewhat rugged sounding name which is good for a warrior. His surname was just something generic that seemed to fit the bill.

My ranger started as a PvP character that was made whenever I needed one and used to be called String Theory which seemed like an apt name for a ranger and somewhat humorous, When I remade my ranger for PvE I changed the name to Adv String Theory ( Adv = Advanced ).

After that it's all about the Penguins.

In PvP I used to for a while run an orders necro which at the time I called Juliette Suicide which seemed apt for a character that sacrifices thier life and being a fan of Shakespeare there was a certain sense of humor there too. Well after a while due to changing PvP character that name was stolen from me so I had to come up with something new. While thinking up a new name my mind strayed off at a tangent as it often does and I found myself wondering " ... if Death ( as in the grim reaper ) had a pet what would be the most unusual as well as amusing pet Death would have ?? ". In my musings I decided that the most improbable pet death would have would be a Penguin. The image of Death standing there in a tattered cloak with a Scythe, you know the classic Death image, while at his feet stood a Penguin looking up at him made me chuckle and thus was born "Deaths Penguin" which turned out to be the start of something that just seemed to take on a life of its own.

While PvP'ing, a PUG who had joined the guild group I was in on TS for the ToPK Halls ( long before HA ) run asked " why the name ? ". Before I had chance to repond the guild leader chimed in and stated that it was because I was a Penguin Farmer and that I lived in Antarctica and farmed Penguin for thier meat. For some reason the rest of the guild that was on TS decided to back up this statement and elaborate on it to the point where this poor PUG was convinced that I was indeed a Penguin Farmer. As you can imagine this joke took on a life of its own and it was not long til people started calling me " Penguin Man " or just " Penguin ". As a aresult I decided to continue this trend with all my other characters.

My Monk I wanted to call Emergency Medical Penguin but it was too long so settled for Doctor Penguin. I have since made a new Monk called Profylactic Penguin becuase even in GW you need protection !!

My Nuke was called Pyro Da Penguin which has again been remade as Protonic Penguin. Originally I wanted to call m y nuke " Tactical Nuclear Penguin " but again it was too long.

My Mesmer is called Hypno Penguin.

My Assassin is called N I N J A Penguin ( because Ninja Penguin was already taken ).

My Ritualist is called Schitzo Penguin.

My Dervish is called Dizzy Penguin ( its all that spinning !! )

And finally my Paragon is called Prototpe Penguin

Crysania Majere - female Tyrian ele. Kinda bastardized a fictional character from the Dragonlance Legends series of fantasy novels. They were ome of my favorite books when I was growing up. That and all the combinations of Raistlin and Fistandantilus were already taken.

Harrison Bergeron - male Tyrian ranger. Character from a Kurt Vonnegut short story of the same name. He was so much smarter and stronger than the rest of the population he was handicapped by the gov't so that he was equal.

Schaden Freude - female Tyrian monk. I split the German word Schadenfreude in two. It means pleasure taken from someone else's misfortune.

Hmm... In Diablo, had a druid, Canis Lupis, who was obviously a shapeshifter. Came to GW, decided to go with Canis Major for my first ranger... alas, it was taken, so I tweaked the spelling to Canus Major. From then out, all my characters are Canus *.

First Mesmer - Canus Minor
Necro - Canus Requiem

etc.

Ah... and Canus Major's pet spider? Syrius.

thats me...when i made my 1st assasin i put assin :P got to lvl 11 and couldnt cope..so i restarted..

My male characters always have the name Kattox as part of it e.g. Kattox Deathbane, Kattox Windblade, Ominous Kattox etc.
I got Kattox from a "fast as a cat strong as an Ox" kind of thing. I later found out it was a spanish herbal laxative and a german car lubricant or somethig along those lines... meh.
