You sometimes just run into those random monsters that use some messed up thing. Like....290 cold dmg deathly swarms from the OoV boss. Silly me for not checking his skill set first. Second go around, I brought Norgu with PD. The fight ended rather quickly. MUHAHAHAHA!

Ah but they do have a "Mantra of Light" skill so you can defend against holy attacks........Its called kill the dern monkey so he/she doesnt need to pray to their god/goddess they can just plain talk to em in person. Mwhahaha.

I try to use a jack-of-all-trades build most of the time in pve, but in some missions/quests/areas it requires changing.

SS Necros ARE jacks of all trades... just about.

Heck... apart from my ID+ build, just about all my builds rely at least in part on making the enemies kill themselves...
Spiteful Spirit / Spoil Victor (+ Insidious Parasite) on A/N builds...
Empathy and / or Backfire on A/Me builds...

They work on most things... except the occasional Monk or Mesmer who can remove hexes (and sometimes make you hurt for putting it on them). Jade Brotherhood Mesmers are a total pain in the arse to fight like this, as are Shiroken Monks.
