In any case, I think it would be really cool if ch4 was a prequel. Like if it was in the time of or slightly before the Guild Wars. I really doubt that will happen, but I think it would be awesome.
A prequel would be sweet, like the original Krytan and Ascalonian Guild Wars. there is so much in the lore of the game that could be used or they might pull a Final Fantasy on us and have the next chapter be an entirely different setting with the Guild Wars name attached.

Honestly the threat from the north that people keep talking about doesn't necessarily have to be Charr. Ever wandered along the northern beach in Kryta? There are defensive emplacements and watchtowers there. The Charr don't seem like an ocean going race. Perhaps the Charr did once inhabit the far north and were pushed out by something worse than them? Speculation abounds and that's not necessarily a bad thing so long as people take it for what it is, speculation. That's one cool tjhing about the lore of this game. It's never explained in depth which leaves tons of opportunities for the devs to come back and make us go, " Oh so that's why that building was there." or " Oh ok now that snippet of conversation makes sense."

More storage places.

Weapons on Heros to be available to all characters. I think Characters I transfer from one expansion to the other, the Heros should have the same guns so I don't have to keep switching (it's not fun to level them all up). However, I think maybe if you go through the story from the start - then maybe the Heros could have different weapons (not sure).

Mounts.

Maybe bigger area, with less zones... Not sure on this.

Room for bigger parties.

To be able to make things in town or something... It wouldn't have to be fully like wow, but it'd be fun to do more things in town.

A customized weapon should be able to be used on the whole account, not just one character. Then it'd forbid you of selling to other people - but you'd get the +15 damage or whatever it is still.

I think that chapt 4 will be huge but the missions will be reported alot or something, because there too many average players that complaigntoo much, and this game will be complicated. This game will probably teach us players whoplayed since day once new things. The hero system in chap 3 i had to get use to......and these mounts you speak of they might take awhile to get use to.

list of things i hope to see?
Mounts
Races
Race specialties
20 missions
a more challenging last mission

1) Mounts (horse, camel, elephant, pony, etcetera.) Basically anything that will allow you to normally increase your travel speed. Without having to equipm running skills. And I'm thinking that mounts should not be available at towns or whatever, but they should be available like outside in the explorable areas. Have a small stable area where you can rent horses or whatever for you and your party members (read: heroes / henchmen).

2) Machines. I would like a slight increase in the technology available. I'd like to see the increased use of black powder weapons like muskets and pistols. I'm not saying make a full out profession that uses guns as weapons, but you should be able to buy one-shot inventory items that let you do a one-shot ranged attack (with a musket or pistol) at an enemy. That would be incredibly cool. I want the new seige weapons of war to no longer be ballista and trebuchet. I want cannons, too. I want to see the beginnings of a railroad system. A means of getting from one town to another that you haven't actually had the chance to walk to yet.

3) Professions. Okay, yes, I AM saying that I want a full out profession that uses guns as weapons. I'd like to see a gunslinger profession. Dual wielding gun that can do a little more damage than an assassin's daggers, but with a slower attack rate. Gunslinger and maybe something else. Something like Warmonk where you can fight with your bare hands and feet. Awww yeah! Where you can like equip brass knuckles in order to attack with your bare hands and feet. So you don't have to completely restructure the game engine.

4) Limited Time Travel. I'd DEFINITELY love to go back to pre-searing and explore more of the Charr lands and find out maybe what it was that caused the Charr to invade first hand. See what we could do to maybe try to stop it, learn that time is unchanging, and no matter what you do you can't stop the inevitable. But still it would be incredibly fun to play around with. Pre-searing, and maybe use this limited time travel as a means of getting the slightly advanced technologies. Such as gunslinger and seige weapons, and the rail road system. The possabilities are endless!

5) Additional races. If this game was meant initially for humans only, then why even have another "friendly" race like the Shiverpeak Dwarves. Allowing additional races would not "break the game" like many people suspect. You don't have to have them with "different stats" just because they're dwarves, or Tengu. Just leave them with the same stats (or whatever) as humans, just with different skins. Dwarves and Tengu get no special treatment because they are dwarves or Tengu. Treat them like different proportioned humans and boom. Problem solved.

And if I think of anything else that I'd like to see in a future GW game, I'll add it... OH!

6) Missions to help clear land and help pave the way for railroads to other continents (like a railway from Tyria to Elonah -- only if you have both previous campaigns). Seriously! The possabilities are freakin' endless!!
The siege weapons used by Kournans are cannons, operated by a giant fling hammer coming down and hitting the powdered barrel. Also siege turtles have cannons strapped to their backs. Guns already exist in gwars.

As a PvP'er, the best thing Chapter Four could do for me is bring absolutely no new skills or new classes. I would be ecstatic if that happened.

Unfortunately that just isn't possible with the GW market strategy, so here are some reasonable things that I do desire:

-- Completely revamped HA with all new maps new settings and new win conditions. I don't care if you make it 6v6 or 8v8 (although I prefer 6v6) so long as you change the maps and make the win conditions less restrictive to build choices!

-- Special attention given to the Necromancer class and also to the Ranger class. These two classes have a ton of issues that need to be resolved before they can become robust, functioning members of the PvP metagame, and if this means a complete rework of Expertise and Soul Reaping then so be it!

-- No new defensive classes. I would absolutely adore the next two classes if they were both offensive -- not necessarily pure damage offense, but perhaps offensive support or offensive debuff. Just no defensive classes to aid in slowing the game down.

-- If you choose to make a new PvP format, then please make it actually worth playing. Every new PvP format introduced since release has been an utter joke. Pretty maps do not a good format make. And if you can't put together something good, don't put anything in at all. To be honest I think adding yet another defunct-out-of-the-box format would be far more destructive to the PvP game than choosing not to add a format at all.

Chapter 4: The Revenge Of Gwen.

Gwen uses Spontanious Combustion every .5 seconds, obliterating all players.

Best chapter evah.

No future crap... please.

I like the idea of another class that uses their voice more - whereas the Paragon used shouts and chants to defend/boost the party how about a class that uses offensive [sic] chants and shouts as short term/repeating debuff? Could work well with a new weapon class - whips - quarter range. That could allow for some MK scorpion-style "Get over here" moves to pull specific targets into range or something like that. Maybe call the class "Sadist" and go the whole hog on the fetish theme

Alternatively I can see a polymorph class working quite well - having seen how the elite Dervish Avatar skills work I think the style of play could be translated well into a new class that way - Polymorphs could have anamalistic howls (chant/shout type abilities), unarmed combat styles (claw weapons), polymorphing abilities, and self regenerative abilities.

Anyway - just my 2 cents

I really would like to see a new expansion which contains a little something for all three GW campaigns. More like a major update, and not all PvE or PvP driven content.

Just a little bit of everything. New PvE and PvP content, and a lot of extra functionality's that the community has been begging for since the very beginning.

* Dreams about an in-game auctioning system... *

Maybe they should have a time travel chapter to a point in time where they're Jedi and the such so we Wammos can go get some pretty Lightsabers and then go back in time to say Nightfall and go "IF YOU SMELLALALALA WHAT MY LIGHTSABER IS COOKING?!"

Then we can add in Droids. /droidname R2D2. Oh yeah!

I'd like to see more optional quests like Double Dog Dare. For those who don't know; it's a quest in Istan where you go on a little treasure hunt without getting the green waypoint on your radar. You just have to figure the clues and follow them to the end point.

This wouldn't be a good idea for the main quests as it would probably get a lot of people to get stuck in the game. I'd just like to see more puzzles in the game as in little cryptic treasure hunts, or puzzles to solve optional quests just to get more diversity in the quests.

Well, let's see, at most there's a span of about 2 years over the current campaigns. Nuclear wastelands last for a really long time. What's the radioactive half-life of a Charr fire spell?

Wow. Where to start. That's a lot of pipe dreams. Mounts? There is absolutely no need or use for mounts anywhere in the Guild Wars system. Period. Why does everyone keep requesting mounts? There's no where in the game that's too far to walk, and in most places, you walk it once and then you can map past it next time! It sounds like you just want more speed without using a skill, probably for farming items, and we all know how Anet feels about farming. In short, never going to happen.

Machines? Guns? Why? That goes completely against the fantasy setting that is GW. Yes I know there are other fantasy games with rudimentary firearms, but they always feel out of place to me. If that's what you want, go play one of those games. (they usually have mounts too )

A "Warmonk" who can fight with his bare hands? Go make yourself a Monk/Assassin (or A/Mo for that matter) and use Deadly Arts. There you go, a monk who fights barehanded. If that's not good enough for you, go play NWN2, it's loads of fun.

Limited time travel, now there's one idea that might hold some merit. I do think it would be fun to go back presear with higher level characters and adventures. Maybe even see Orr before it was destroyed. I don't know if it would happen, but could be cool if it did.

Another common request, more races. I don't really understand this one. Yes, there is a certain attraction to having something other than a plain ol' human. But it does complicate things, even if you just give them the same stats as humans. It's not just a matter of making one new model/skin for each race, you'd have to make all the various customization options (face, hair, skin, etc) and then make versions of each set of armor for each profession for each race. Anet keeps GW monthly fee free by keeping their new content simple. New races, mounts, and gunpowder all mean big changes to the system. Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's never going to happen.

Over the last year and a half I've seen a lot of suggestions for things that add so many layers of complication to Guild Wars. Remember people, one of the things that makes GW such a success is its simplicity! It's an easy system to learn and to play, with enough options to keep things interesting but not so many as to make it overwhelming. It's a simple game, and that's the joy of it. Don't try to make it something it's not.

I was wondering why no thread about Ch4 after one week of NF's release. But, now, here it is.

I don't remember where I read it, but I remember it pretty vividly that NF will be the end of this tyria/cantha/elona storyline. So, Ch4 should be somewhere else, with a brand new story (maybe old story, new land).

Also, Ch4 should be developed by the group of Faction, which I'm not very fond of. Don't know what Ch4 will come out like.

there would be no point for mounts in guild wars unless they either throw away the map travel or its just a mini-game.

for a music based profession. maybe a profession that plays instruments like gwen's flute. it would be very similar to paragons though.
