It's because of kiddy leechers like this guy that I long gave up on playing FA even though I found it fun. It's not just that it's not fun playing shorthanded, it's knowing that if I play that I'd funding and encouraging lazy ass punks who suck so badly that they have to leech.

What's the point in even making a cooperative/competitive match when people arent even participating?

If thats true then you're an a$$hole & i hope you get scammed.
People that leech ruin it to bits for the others & there's no need for it at all.

Play fair & be nice.
You havent won yourself any favours by posting that.

Yosh, you have better things to do? Good, CLOSE Guild Wars and go do them. Nobody is backing you up on your post, it is a terrible thing to leech because you have better things to do. If you expected people to agree with you here, you were wrong.

Yosh your counter argument fails for the sheer truth it can be thrown back at you with the same effect.

To answer do we have better things to do. The answer is no cause we came here for the debate and read of oppinions and see if some common ground could be found to make Anet improve what would of been a very fun place to play in GWs but because of people like you who have ruined the place into the waste of space it is now.

Your philosphy I have better things to do so im gonna leech now is shrewd and ignorant at best of circumstances for a number of reasons.

Mainly and high up there is that you show a lack of class, character or respect to fellow gamers by not only willingly doing this aspect but basically posting it here with this air of im so great cause I abuse a system flaw.

Its fine that you would have "better things to do" we all do, its called life. But the respectale thing would of been to simply turn off the game or keep it on if you wished but put yourself in a spot where you cant harm other people.

But instead you show lack of class by willingly putting your character into a cycle of constantly reloading itself into the mission and being wasted space.
Sure your not hurting yourself but instead you have ignorantly, or maybe arrogantly ruined a minimum of 7 other players experience and effectivly scammed them of hard earned faction that you frankly dont deserve even 1 point of.

Of course in every sense this is also directed to the multitude of othr leechers like you but since you so brazinly proclaimed your leecher ways I guess its just easier to say you as an example. But it is a truth that what you do is a horrid gaming practice and shows horrid manners and a lack of respect to all GWs players out there and basically says you deserve no respect in the game itself, or in here unless you show more respect to the other 7 players your so willingly screwing over.

It is your attitude in here that solidifys and shows why Anet should take a proactive aproach into making a solution to fix and heal Aspenwoods current ruined and broken state.

Better things to do? Yeah, I have better things to do rather than play a game mode full of selfish leeching lazy idiots and earn their faction for them because they suck too much to earn it themselves.

Congrats on leechers like you making FA something that is definately not something that is "better to do."

You may like it, but you ruin the game for the other people in the team. Don't you ever think other people? Empathy and self-sacrifice are beneficial to the community and the species survival - but unfortunately we haven't got totally rid of people like this... It's the sorriest person who cannot feel empathy!

And if the developpers don't care either, it's like Aspenwood: good game ruined.

Yeah well I'm gonna make this protest my standard behaviour from now in FA. At least it slightly reduces leechers' faction gain. Maybe if more people follow quitting-when-leechers-around-protocol, leeching becomes less and less popular. Maybe it doesn't. Maybe an Arenanet boss will grow a heart and do something about it. Anyway, need to try. I will be playing Aspenwood now as often as I can. As a protest.

yeah this was my suggestion but it seems some of us think alike
since i dont see one day of protest working (as evidenced by the lovely Yoshy) - id ask all of you who play aspy to take screenshots of leechers and post them here! even if you dont quit on the swines - take piccies just to show how many games are affected by them!
i am guessing that on monday things will go back to 'normal' and we might have more piccies to post then!
have a non-afk-ing experince at aspy and have fun!

AFK is easy to fix - just don't give any faction to losers. Simple as that.

Yosh is a representation in the game of what happens in real life too. I hate these punks, but as in real life there is also little you can do about them. In the game u can just leave, let em stand in AFK heaven. In real life you can't unfortunately.

Bingo.

The other solution is (as I think someone else pointed out) to make teams non-random.

That would be very unfortunate. It's one of the best features of Aspenwood that the teams are random. Now you don't have to wait for hours for the second or third monk. Now you can enter with what ever profession, with the build of your choosing. And the battles are surprising, when you can never know if the Kurzicks can withdraw into their endless defensive positions behind the gates, or what will happen.

And if you would get to choose the teams, how would you know one would not turn into a leecher?

I have suggested that they would have similar option as in Aspenwood to join missions and areas like UW/FoW/Tombs. Now if you are not certain profession with certain build, you must wait for hours or days to get in a team. That is very sad.

There are other ways like requiring action to be considered an active player and gain faction or team vote kicks. Lots of suggestions done, and Arenanet can invent surely more.

Hell no. I do FA alot and one of the reasons i like it is because of the random teams. I dont want to spend hours in their getting a team formed. But i do agree with the loseing side = no faction thing. Could be bad with the leavers going at any sign of trouble though.

What better things do you have to do?
It's not like anyone would want to spend time with a jerk such as yourself..

If thats how you work in real life too, gaining money and credits at the expense of others work, than u are really sad. I have seen too many people like that, and the funny thing is, like in the game they seem to get rewarded as well, get steady jobs etc, compliments etc.. Though it depends on one thing, they should be very likable, in game even that element is absent, or all leechers taking a nice girl toon?
