I wouldn't recommend doing that. It makes you just as bad as them.
You harassing him isn't going to change anything. I doubt he'll do anything but curse you out then put you on ignore. And if he's really a sad s.o.b. he'll probably get his guildies/friends to start messaging you back.

Just take it as an experience learned and move on. Don't let it control or spoil your outlook on the game.

People do that sort of thing all the time, it's why I play with Heros, Henchmen, and/or my boyfriend-and-roommate only.

Reporting won't do any good though, even if it were a rule violation they wouldn't do anything about it.
I've reported people for vulgar character names, racist and/or prejudice attacks on myself or others done in public chat, and other such things. I've added them to my friendslist and watched as the player is online for hours each day, for weeks after the reports were sent and I got the generic automated message of "We'll look into it, don't call us, we won't call you." back in response. So it's obvious they aren't banning these people, or even giving them a temporary suspension... so what's the use of wasting your time filling out the reports?
If the report system actually worked, there wouldn't be so many homophobes/racists/bigots in every crowded district, bashing on people because they think they are somehow better than everyone else.

You can complain to support till the cows come home on this one but it is a Non Issue. The person is not very nice but he did nothing wrong and didn't break any EULA rules. If you wanted to keep your Drops it is your fault you didn't get it because if you would have stayed alive in the first place you would have been able to pick it up. If i see a Very good item drop for me I make it a priority to pick it up as soon as I can... Or make sure I stay alive to pick it up. If the Item dropped for you while you were dead then you got lucky and it really should have gone to the person who did the killing anyways.

Wait... Now THIS doesn't make sense. How can ANet stand back and tell someone "Sorry, but it's tough luck for you and you just have to put up with assholes like that." Yet when you turn around to retaliate because ANet took no action, YOU get punished?!

This permits assholes like this to do what they want when they want, keeps the victims from submitting complaints, AND makes everyone just accept when they get fracked over by pathetic piss-ant mops like this mother f cker.

I'm sorry. That's just wrong. If this is really how ANet responds to such things, I am disgusted. Someone tell me this is not true. I really need to hear this right now. Preferably by someone from ANet.

Because it's the same concept behind someone sleeping with your girlfriend, not paying the $100 he owes you, and just plain treating you like crap - then you retaliate by slicing his tires. If you're caught, guess what: you're going to get charged and nothing will be done about him.

Know why? Everything he did was well within the law, even if it was crappy human behaviour. The one thing you did, well, was against the law, even if it was deserved revenge. Unfortunately, waiting for the drop timer without ressing the person it was assigned to is well within "the law" of GW, spamming and harrassment is not.

*Sigh*

Unfortuneatly, you speak much truth, arcanemacabre. However, I am very upset with the current stance ANet has when it comes to individuals such as this. I realize nothing can be done about it, but it just really pisses me off.

To the OP: What the dipshit did might have been "legal" to ANet, and they can turn their heads the other way and pretend like you're in the wrong, but if I ever see the little piece of shit in game, I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure he's very uncomfortable.

No one ever said revenge was illegal. So, ya know, as long as you keep it within the "laws", have fun!

I something similar happen to me. Oh, you should've seen me preparing my torches and pitchforks, ready to pitch the biggest fit. Luckily, I got on IRC and saw that oh, hey, he's HERE, he's an op, and thusly a member of --site name withheld-- staff! Then I notified him that I had screen shots of him stealing of my loot, telling me to visit his website, and the subsequent 4-hour DoS that I received. All for a req11 shadow blade, at that. I got my sword back.

PUG's suck, true, but most people aren't in a decent guild...I've been playing since the game came out and I still haven't found one...PUG's are my only option...

Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it!!!

My suggestion is to join a guild with friendly players, otherwise deal with the trash, or don't get killed.

By the way, if the rolls were reversed, would you have rezed him?
