CagedSanity The Henge of Denravi is in the Maguuma Jungle. Ask for a run somewhere to it or look it up on www.guildwiki.org to find your way there. You'll have plenty of time to get there.

ooo THis is perfect. This is actually the second year that Mesmers got together to celebrate St Patricks day at Henge of Denravi, and now we get to share it with everyone^^! We're going to dance on that stage just like we did last year, and the more people the better!

Yes, that is the point, we should be able to share the event with everyone. I'm trying at the moment to sympathize with the MesCon2007 leader to allow the Henge to be shared by everyone. I don't think an only mesmer event is fair, discrimination against other proffesions, anyone?

I've seen screenshots of their event, and it indeed looked impressive, but I think there will be more potential with anyone allowed this time. And what better town than the most green town on Tyria?

Well it looks like we cannot compromise. I do not know what will be the outcome of this next. We can try to move to another town, however that would be difficult. The only other town I can think of is Amnoon Oasis, however not everyone may have that town.

Any suggestions? Shall we try to move or stand guard in our spot at the Henge?

Perhaps if we can convince Anet to open a Int Dis 2 for us...

That's unfair. Everyone should be allowed to go to The Henge Int. dist 1 to share the same event. I say we just show up anyways because there is no stopping us, it's not like they can force us to leave the district and if they don't like that we are there, they can just leave then. We're all there for the same cause and it's to get drunk, hang out with friends and chill.

Default MesCon was never just for mesmers

I wonder why the OP is privately pleasant and agreeable with Mog, but publically portrays her as unreasonable and inflexible. It's very hurtful and unnecessary. I wonder why anyone bothers to do community events when faced with the kind of griefing and pettiness that inevitably arises. Isn't there enough of this kind of nonsense in the game without creating more of it?

Whether or not you are there for the OP's party or Mescon, just know that everyone is welcome. This was true last year and it's true this year. Please feel free to attend, green, mesmer or none of the above, but please do not impugn a very generous and sweet person for spending the last few months preparing for the coming event.

Just have fun whether you're there for Mescon or the OP's party.

The MesCon doesnt discriminate against other professions. I think the host said that you do not need to come as a mesmer (its in his post in GWO), but you know - St- Patricks day + Irish fits most clsely to what Mesmers are :P. So everyone is welcome to come as they like... heck, I was advertising in Tyria earlier today, and half the people were asking me if they had to be a Mesmer, I said no. And then they said they wern't going green because they loved their black-dyed armour too much, to which I said it was completely fine ^^.

It's a celebration, anyone should be able to come^^. Just please, please don't tell people that it's a Mesmer-only celebration and you're going to gate crash it... because its an open invitation, and everyone was already invited :P.

I do hope that March the 17th will become the biggest Fan-hosted event ever^^, so if we can get enough people to attend at the Henge, well, lets just say I myself am trying to get this to the attnetion of Anet *hint* *hint* ^^.

So please, you are very welcome to attend the event, there is no compromse necessary. You do not need to fight for the area, its your area to go to if you want to celebrate. This cannot turn ugly just because the target audience is the Mesmer, its just the logical profession to go as, it being St Patricks Day, people should celebrate it, absolutely^^!

I hope that noone shows up as grievers trying to ruin the celebration, it is, after all, a celebration.

The best thing I would suggest is to leave the planning to MogRuith, and keep this thread here as an open invitation for everyone in GuildWars. She's worked hard to get this organised, you know^^.

(To be honest, I have been pitching specifically to the Mesmer Population, and I'm trying to alter my advertisement to include everyone as well^^. I'll post a prieview of my pitch shotrly^^)

EDIT: OK, here's my pitch. Look out for me in all over the three campaings as I spread the word^^

Attention to All Irish-Hearted!!

Look out, because on March 17th at 3PM Pacific/6PM Eastern/11PM GMT/10AM AUST,

There will be a Fan-Hosted Event at the Henge of Denravi - International District 1 on St. Patricks Day!!

The Hostess for this year's Event is MogRuith of GWO!!

The Theme is to come as the Mesmer Profession and to dress in a Green attire. But don't fret if you can do neither...

...Because as long as you attend the Event, a Celebration there will be!! And a Great Celebration it shall be!!

Remember. March 17, 3PM Pacific/6PM Eastern/11PM GMT/10AM AUST at the Henge of Denravi.

This is going to be the biggest Fan-Hosted event ever, so the more people the better. We'll see you there!!

You know the only problem with this event? If you want the 'Irish hearted' to turn up, well there just not going to. You see, on the same day you're hosting your St.Paddy'sday celebration, St.Paddy's day is happening. That means that all the 'Irish hearted' will be getting drunk. i know I'll be in the centre of Dublin, looking at the crap parade wth my friends, and then fecking off somewhere. i most certainly won't be on GW.

Then agan, i might.

And here I was getting ready to rant about how there's more to being Irish than getting drunk.

Delve a little deeper into your history, and guess where the Scottish came from

Hahah how many people here are born on St Patrick's Day?! Unfortunately (in a way), I'm not half Irish... I'm half Scottish (which isn't a bad thing. I love the Scottish) But anyway, that's beside the point.

I'm sure this has been mentioned in one of the earlier posts (probably the first one, but I'm too stupid to read the first page) how long is this event going to go for? Because I live in Australia, so it'll be starting 10am on the 18th... But since I'm planning to go out and get maggotted the night before, I won't be conscious by then. So just wondering when it'll finish.

Um, what?

I didn't say ANYTHING about the Mescon's hostess. PLease quote something of mine I said about her. I do not recall saying anything negative.

I just want an event for EVERYONE to enjoy, not soley just mesmers because not everyone has a mesmer.

I am referring to this sort of comment in particular. It paints Mog as an unbending tyrant and I can see in her posts and correspondence with you that she was trying to be reasonable. Why did you feel it was necessary to paint a fun and joyful event in this light? Discriminatory? Would anyone stop you from creating Wamopalooza or The Assassin's Ball? (both of which might be kinda fun). Mog had a brilliant idea one year to just do something spontaneous and funny and invite the community. She could have limited it to her guild and alliance but she opened it to anyone and said hey, let's Riverdance St Patricks away, bring a mesmer toon if you have one or just come with what you've got.

You hurt my friend, otherwise I would have just shook this off as more of the usual forum fare on GWG.

Thanks for listening. An apology to Mog would be really nice.

I think someone is taking this too seriously. It's just a game, first off. And seconly, my Discriminate comment was actualy a joke by a friend, seeing how the event called for mesmers. I have no problem with it, but I just thought everyone should have a chance to attend an event that doesn't just revolve around mesmers. A good idea in concept, but not many people have mesmers.

This is confusing. Theres going to be 3 celebrations? Two in Henge and one in Temple of Balth? Why dont the 3 hosts get together and mass all 3 together for an even bigger celebration? Temple of Balth being the location sounds logical so no NF/Factions folks are left out. Merge all of the games together, and it WILL be the largest player held event.

If there can be an all girl gamer event, I see no reason why there can't be an all mesmer event.
